Nah it’s not brutal. I think I’m more shitty the govt continues to just tax it instead of banning it which means they can smoke in the street, holistically I agree with you.
It blew my mind that smokes are like $40 a packet.

I like what they did in NZ, there will be a new generation of NZ that will never be able to smoke again. They are completely banning it.

Two things I don't do that must be uncommon:

- I don't pay attention to the lyrics of songs. Except for the odd chorus, I don't know the lyrics to virtually any song, even ones I've listened to a hundred times. I've seen five year-olds sing the lyrics to their favourite pop songs. There must must a reason for this (maybe something to do with right brain/left brain cognitive function and audio-visual recognition).

- And I don't notice what colour people's eyes are. Outside of immediate family, I couldn't say what colour anyone's eyes are, even relatives or friends I've known for years. I'm guessing this is more of a guy thing but I'm not sure.

I don't find lyrics too important I must admit, I'm a metal head and I think a lot of us are like that.

Ummm, actually, it's BRING your daughter to the slaughter. Jeeeeez.
Not really a Maiden fan beyond what I heard on pub jukeboxes, hence the error. For a real epic poem, Terrapin Station by the Dead who had two members, John Perry Hunter and Robert Barlow who didn't even play with the band, they were lyricists only.

Agree with this as a general rule but then there are outliers like Maiden whose lyrics are basically poems to music.

Funny you bring up Maiden, they are very big in non English speaking countries, I think the guitar melodies are the key to their music and that's universal. And yeah Harris writes about some interesting stuff but you can still enjoy Maiden without delving into that stuff.

When I'm looking at books on the internet and I see a signed by the author sticker from Ottakars stuck smack bang on the middle of the dust jacket I still mentally strangle the useless Saturday boy that probably stuck it on after being told to put on the bottom left hand corner about a thousand times.

Id be legit weirded out if someone i didnt know really really well knew my eye color.

I know my wife and my childs and maybe like five other peoples (because they have very very striking green or bright blue eyes) beyond that i would be making an educated guess.

It just occurred to me once that I don't always look at people in the eye when I'm talking to them. I tend to look at their overall expression. Wasn't sure if this was unusual.

Women tend to notice a person's finer details: eye colour, manicured fingernails, the style and branding of their attire, etc. A nice looking woman could wear a hessian potato sack and I'd barely notice.

I don't even know what colour my own eyes are let alone family or friends.

Your eyes are emerald green. I've noticed many times.

One thing women notice without fail is wedding rings, on women or men, I feel like it’s the first thing that look for on anyone.
