Yeah a lefty on each wing probably isn't ideal as you say, but I'm more emphasising the need to both experiment and harden up Scholl.

How's about Hammil to the much lauded pressure forward position then?

Sholl HBF, Dawson wing, Hinge wing, Hamill HFF, Jones guts and McHenry back to Lilliput where his dinky 15 metre stabs are still considered the long bomb of the league.
Would at least bring speed to the pressure forward role which is lacking and important

Jones another option but I’d only do that if you allowed him to share mid minutes with Keays

I've been a supporter since 1990. On this board since 2004, albeit as Cove Cobra.

I've always backed the Club. In 2020 when we were at our lowest ebb, I pulled out every bit of memorabilia I had and put it around my home.

To show how staunch I was about my Club. I was told I was mad. I flicked the bird at anyone who dare have a go. Well ...

Fast forward.

Select Murphy, AGAIN. Why? There is no justifiable reason.

Play guys out of position then drop them, why? Explain to me why Dawson is not playing outside wing? Tell me why we persist with poor disposal from Keys and Laird?

We have nothing going for us. It's a shyte show. The Club is a rabble and the clean out didn't go far enough 4 years ago.

I don't like bleeding because in the end you bloody well cark it.

So after 32 years this will be my final season. I retire. Stuff the Club rhetoric. I'm sick and tired of it.

I'd rather watch my grass grow.
I think there are a lot of supporters who feel the same way. Personally I dont how long we should be giving the club. Should we give them one more year. By now I would have expected improvement but from where I am standing I dont think we have. At best I think we have stood still this year.

So I have to ask why? We started well by getting Dawson. Thats a big plus. We got possibly the best fitness coach in the comp with Burgess. We drafted a talented Rachelle. Our younger players who should be improving naturally had an extra preseason. Yes we lost Seedsman and I believe that that was a big loss. But everything suggests we should be improving but I dont think we are. Our skills seem to be as questionable today as they were last year. Our intensity has had its moments but only moments. There has been no consistency.

So I understand your stance. I just hope that you are truly comfortable with it.

Go to peel st off hindley

You could die on Hindley

Actually the Exeter on rundle st …. Good wine list , exceptional for a pub . When in Rome

Grab a whopper on the way home from the start of rundle mall haha

Don’t tell anyone you’re a pies supporter , Adelaide is quite dangerous , lots of murders etc

Genuinely gobsmacked at people who are happy with these changes.
The positive is Crouch out ( but it’s just a correction from bringing him in )

McAdam in is positive

Murphy in is meh

Hately out is unfair given he should be played in his best role first to give him a chance

We’ve had worse selection weeks eg last week but I wouldn’t call it good either

No surprise our development is s**t.

Remember years ago I had a connection to the kid who was dominating at SANFL (with Lyons - I can't remember his name!), and I reported here he was basically told to keep it up and he'd be in the frame for selection THE NEXT YEAR.

Nothing has changed.

We're a s**t football Club, complete waste of time and energy.

I defended Nicks earlier in the year but no more. As someone said you can't make this s*** up anymore. Can't make up his mind who is best 22, won't give players extended runs, playing players out of position, rewarding limited players, keeping the talent in the 2s. WTF did Port send him to sabotage us?

I understand many don't rate Hately here but whether he is good or not is one thing, its another as to how coaches have gone about his development. At least given him an extended run in the middle, he was building and our best midfield mix all year has been Laird, Keays, Berry and Hately with stints to develop Rachele and Soligo. To play him wing for Shoenberg whose gone backwards and Crouch who clearly isn't the future is disgraceful.

Despite being a bottom 3 club we have youngsters wasting away in the SANFL who are largely unknowns.

Nicks will not make round 22, 2023. Dead man walking now.

Nicks has blamed the players at every turn.

I wonder how much this is factoring into selection. Only picking the blokes he thinks can show the on field leadership to direct the team to follow his game plan.

Seems to be his only KPI.

His game plan isn't even worth following, it's horse s**t and I think the players know it

Apart from everything else Murphy and McHenry in our forward lines again defies logic.
It's vs. Collingwood, who've won their last 7 games (by 44/4/4/26 (Melbourne!)/11/5/7. That's good form.
In Nicks' mind, having as few goals kicked against us (in an inevitable loss) is better than kicking goals
+
McHenry and Murphy will scruff and niggle and nip at Collingwood's heels all day.

Sooo many of the Crows would be utterly confused by Nicks' selections, as most of us are, but one thing's for sure ---
McHenry and Murphy both know that Nicks loves them and wants them to fight like dogs. To hell with:
--- players in form
--- those players pushed out of position, and
--- scoreboard pressure.

Agreed with Jeffcrowe

Rundle, Peel and Leigh street are your best bets.

Avoid Hindley street for the most part. Adelaide is pretty safe and tame but if you're going to get king hit that's the place.

If you like a long night out your options are the casino and a dive karaoke bar called La Sing.

McHenry and Murphy in the forward pockets.. safe to say that we’re not banking on a shootout
Forecast for Saturday arvo/evening is pretty ordinary. Weather gonna be pretty crap too…

I’m pretty much same as you , agree completely re Hately

Saw a path forward with Nicks early season then he moved Dawson back at all costs , bright Matt crouch back , didn’t develop the game plan but went safety first

The saints game was my tipping point , that was the most winnable game ( other than our wins ) and we fluffed it and it was all to do with our shortcomings as a club

Since then I thought the kangas game with 85 tackles and melb game where we matched it fairly well were ok

But then crouch back last week fluffed any mini momentum we were building

Our small forwards are terrible , Murphy Rowe and McHenry…. I’d pick Newchurch just to see and would trial Cook in that role and just make sure he’s working defensively as he has the class offensively

But it will only be solved by delistings and new players coming in which means we still will need to recruit short people ! What a cycle

Team I would like to see:

Parnell Butts Doedee
Frampton Murray Hinge
Soligo Laird Dawson
McAdam Walker Cook
Newchurch Fogarty Thilthorpe

Strachan Berry Schoenberg

Taylor Hamill Smith/Milera Keays

In:
Frampton Hinge McAdam Cook Newchurch Strachan Taylor

Out:
Smith/Milera McHenry Rowe ROB Hately Jones Crouch

Changes I think Nick's will make:
In:
McAdam Hinge Frampton
Out: Crouch Hately Jones/Smith

Smith isn’t at risk of being dropped. Was one of our better players last week

There's been quite a few seats spare lower in the Riverbank stand. At least groups of 2-3. So you may not need to sit right up the back.

Also try Malt & Shovel Taphouse directly across from AO, below Festival Theatre. Nice close spot.
And overpriced af
Went there for a pre-show dinner one night. (And had the post-Port crowd as well)
I enjoyed the food, but it's quite pricey.

Nicks is sick of players who make mistakes and turn it over. Execution!

Murphy doesn't get the ball so he's no problem
