GC have picks 31, 34, 43, 52Sound like we are taking Max as a F/S if we are gunning for a late 2022 pick in the deal..
If the PSD is an option for Brisbane over Dunkley, who have pick 16 in it, then it sure as hell is for us with pick 5 and a kid returning for family reasons.
the problem with all the debate here is that people are confusing his ability with his value.
Izak’s ability (or potential ability) is not being questioned, however.
Izak Rankine in this years draft, value would be somewhere between 4 and 6ish
Izak Rankine contracted, value would be pick 5 and next years 1st (possibly also a player)
Izak Rankine uncontracted with us having pick behind Port In PSD, probably pick between 6 and 10
Izak Rankine contracted with us having pick 5 in PSD, probably similar to Charlie, about pick 12 to 14.
Same player, different values.
Trading in good faith. Rankine is worth pick 5 though. This is the equivalent of giving a team a 5 goal head start because we feel sorry for them.
Drive home the advantage while we have it (uncontracted and cap space)

So if we get 43 or 52.. that‘ll help if a bid comes on max around pick 25 to 35 if the phantom draft predictions are correct..GC have picks 31, 34, 43, 52
GC have picks 31, 34, 43, 52
Nice guys finish last.Trading in good faith. Rankine is worth pick 5 though.
The other question will be if we get one of those picks, how far will it come in after the ashcroft bid is matched along with other bids being matched?. It might on its own be enough to pay for a michalanney bid and then it really looks almost a straight pick 5 for rankine as the future 4th will just cancel each other outGC have picks 31, 34, 43, 52
Also we don’t know that.Trading in good faith. Rankine is worth pick 5 though.
injuries is the only thing that will hold him back if he doesn't succeedAlso we don’t know that.
He could fail spectacularly.
He hasn’t lived up to expectations so far.
ralph is a dickheadCan anyone explain to me why we would bother swapping 2023 4ths? Every chance we could finish above them next season.
Maybe for a late addition to the list, say Caleb Poulter or the like? Can anyone explain to me why we would bother swapping 2023 4ths? Every chance we could finish above them next season.
So in a crucial year of our draft and youth-driven rebuild, we're going to bring in a small forward, a skinny defender and a second rounder.
We obviously highly rate our current list.
I think we can all assume Jon Ralph is full of s**t
No one knows that.injuries is the only thing that will hold him back if he doesn't succeed
he will soak up adelaide oval and go to another level
45 can match anything after 40.Traded away 32 and 35 yesterday.
Now have 7, 45, 46 and 71.
Yeah and we may need help from gc in future trades. You don't purposely burn bridges.Nice guys finish last.
Hopefully it’s the pick in the 40’s and not one of their 70’s picks
Got a feeling Keeler will go past pick 30?Maybe for a late addition to the list, say Caleb Poulter or the like?
Which teams won’t deal with each other any more.Yeah and we may need help from gc in future trades. You don't purposely burn bridges.
Is that why Essendon are not trading this year?Yeah and we may need help from gc in future trades. You don't purposely burn bridges.
Because no one uses fourth round picks? Can anyone explain to me why we would bother swapping 2023 4ths? Every chance we could finish above them next season.
