It was your info a couple weeks ago that we were in town talking to him wasn't it? He probably gave them the heads up then and now it's up to Port to release him.Doubt Geelong would hold out for Lord if he hadn't given them some sort of hint that he would be keen
Then someone sack Mackie. But if the offer is Sav and pick 8 for Lord and pick 40?
Just Sav for Lord. Keep it simple.I wouldn't do that deal. LOL
That's bonkers.
Sav is worth more than Lord at the trade table for starters.
Yeah but he's handsome so who really cares? Then someone sack Mackie.
I like Lord but he's 90% hype at this point

I'd say it's Lord instead of 24, or Lord and 24 with us sending a future pick back.
Future 3rd. No more.I'd say it's Lord instead of 24, or Lord and 24 with us sending a future pick back.

Sav > Lord. All day of the week or year.
Rather give that chance to Bailey Van De HeuvelHe's stop gap. Better than any other option.
He'll be playing VFL barring injury.
Talking is one thing, getting the green light is another. Lord would have to come out and request a trade for this to happen. It was your info a couple weeks ago that we were in town talking to him wasn't it? He probably gave them the heads up then and now it's up to Port to release him.
Young player with potential, and contracted.Future 3rd. No more.

Sure, but it would be pretty rare for the Cats to say we want Lord if he'd said 'No thanks, get stuffed' a couple weeks ago wouldn't it?Talking is one thing, getting the green light is another. Lord would have to come out and request a trade for this to happen.
Feels more like a Payne Haas type to me.You might regret that down the track a bit
He would never contemplate this - because he wouldnt get the ridiculous money that Pt Power are offering
But i reckon SAV would be better off in the NRL - id play him fullback - with his athletic - and power and all the rest of it - even his kicking - he would look a decent kick in the NRL
Port board reporting we are trying to get Lord.

Port will refuse but glad we are trying.
They're trying to win one in the next year or two. Ken hasn't got much lee-way left and the supporters are almost at public revolt level of him being at the club.Everyone has a price. And unfortunately what comes around, goes around. Whether it be this year or next.

If Ollie comes out and says I'm gone next year anyway, why wouldn't you do it?
The kid's talented, but they need a key back a lot more than they need another key forward.
If Dixon, Marshall, & Finlayson are fit and firing (Georgiades post knee), he probably doesn't get a game anyway.
With Hawk and JC coming aboard the thinking was he wouldn't get a game for 3 years I guess.Weird that we are into Lord, or moreso weird that we didn’t draft him giving his Geelong connection. In 2020 He went pick 49 to Port and we took Nick Stevens at 47. We obviously didn’t rate him at all coming into the draft

He's not on the same value as Esava, even if you say one is contracted and the other isn't.That’s all true. I’m not disputing that he could be traded. It’s valuing him that’s the tricky bit. He’s shown a bit but not a lot. Is that enough for them to justify asking a lot? I don’t know.
Good. He will be playing SANFL rather than VFL.Based on what I’ve been told about Lord (for some time) he’s got no intention of playing for Geelong.
Don’t be seduced by the family connection.
