Wonder what the breaking point will be for this club and Meehan.
There would need to be thorough review of the whole department, at the very least, FFS

At least we will get a good look at some youngsters but these injuries are ruining any potential for a good season.

Ross is a largely competent player but is not critical to anything.

With Lynch gone though the season is stuffed as far as contending goes. But first year new coach is probably as good a time as any to have these issues. The players get a bit more time to learn the new game plan without too much immediate pressure. And the coach gets to have a look at what players can do in different roles. So we should find some players this way.

So this year is probably now all about that. Discovering a few players, getting some decent draft picks - by my rough calculations we should end up with something like picks 6, 12, 28 if we lost say Graham to a reasonable Free Agency deal. We can also see off a couple of very big contracts, Dusty and Prestia, to be followed next year by Lynch. Just go to the draft this year, play youth where it is sensible both this year and next, should equal more good draft picks in 2025. Couple that with some judicious use of our war chest on a decent Free Agent and maybe a big trade using 2025-2026 rd 1 picks we could possibly hit 2026 with a really solid team that could maybe contend with one last shot from Lynch and Dusty, but also with plenty of quality young talent with upside from the 2021 and 2024 drafts at least.

These type of injuries to the likes of Ross shouldn't really damage the club overall.

Yeah no doubt Ross out dosent derail our season any more than Lynch and Balta right now but just another statistic in a concerning trend

Granted we do have a lot of impact injury’s that don’t have anything really to do with strength and conditioning but if Ross is indeed a stress fracture it doesn’t fall into that category

Shame for Ross as well because he was putting together some consistent footy and a decent run in the middle

Where has it been reported that Ross has a stress fracture?
Nothing “official” but a few tweets from somewhat reliable fans who tend to get decent info

Is this just pure bad luck?

We need to borrow what ever chemicals the Cats are using on their players because they seem to recover in World record time.

I reckon we'd be in the 8 with a full list even just 4 more back.

Injuries are cruelling us but the team has nearly won every single game.

Keep fighting Tigers!

Something has to be done now as it’s pretty obvious our preseason preparation wasn’t up to scratch and it was evident when we were getting run over in games early on that we were lacking fitness. Then the extra stresses and strain has opened up to all these injuries. Then rushing players back after long term injuries and leaving them on the ground when injured has led to longer time for rehabilitation and recovery. It’s an amateur show bc we’ve refused to invest money into replacing Meehan and the medical staff. This is on Benny now as he’s been too busy pursuing a career elsewhere and fallen asleep behind the wheel. I’m losing count of all these injuries now, but one thing I can say a lot of posters were predicting this mid last year. It’s now come to bite us on the bum.

The amount of injuries not only ruins any chance we have of finishing higher this season, it's disrupting our young player development and we can't get game into them because they're injured for half the year every year. Very sad
Hard to know where our rightful place on the ladder should be. apart from round zero we've been in games and indeed shoudda/coudda won.

No Ross? Sonz and Kmac2 step on up..

injury = games into the kids.

Yep. Losing Gibcus meant Miller can finally show what he's capable of. Ross going down long term means McAuliffe has an opportunity to lock down a spot. Kosi and Lefau are getting a crack they otherwise would not have.

There are some silver linings.

The injuries will destroy our season. They do allow is to play the kids and build to the future. And mean we get a 'better' pick. If some players go FA then there is some sort of chance of a good compo pick. AFL will make sure it is round 15 though.

Richmond midfielder Jack Ross is set to miss up to eight weeks, after scans revealed a stress fracture in his foot.
