Yep, I’d believe it. There is something in their brains that flicks when it comes to football. Just beyond any other die hard supporter base.

I completely believe there are many of them that would hit a strangers kid if that kid said something bad about their “boys”.

Completely feral.
My perspective....its that for many (certainly not all) Port Power fans - especially the old working class faithful from the SANFL era - their footy team was the only winning thing they had in their life. Therefore a disproportionate and unhealthy sense of their own 'worth' was thru their footy teams successes or failures (mainly successes to be fair but they have lost a huge amt of GF's so 2007 not a total surprise :) ).

With the lowest socio economic group statistically from both a qualitative (my own eyes) and quantitative basis thru stats and articles dealing with respective supporter groups socio economic standings (Powers inc being #1 or #2 - mostly with Centrals - for lowest education level obtained, lowest income levels in the workplace, they drink and smoke most plus most missing teeth etc haha).

The Port Magpies was the one thing they could be truly proud and look forward to as they weren't flying overseas for holidays during our winter, not being invited out for BBQs/dinner parties, couldn't afford Netflix equivalent (hiring VHS in the day) and probably struggling to read much beyond Mr Men books.

Alberton Oval saw a lot of feral behaviour over the years - I would know more than possibly most on here and would have been to 50+ games at Alberton back in the SANFL days with a family full of Port fans.

The above is somewhat in jest and they do have many decent fans also - just a disproportionate amount of FERALS

So what’s he saying?

You finally beat me?
The plans worked I’ve ****ed this club up?
That was a dog act?
Got a job for me?

making plans for twin hair replacements in turkey

Footy show saying that houston didn't get him in the head and will only be 3 weeks so he can play in the grand final. And there is an argument he gets off. Kane the main one that thinks it will be more
Amazing how often they try to look after Port.
Whether he hits head or not is irrelevant, he chose to bump and knocked the guy out. He also hit him in an old fashioned shirt front. An act that has been outlawed for 20+ years.
A bump to the side (legal) that causes and accidental head clash and concussion is 4 weeks. This has to be 6+.

Rachelle needs to pull his head in.

I'm all for exuberance, but flat out sledging opposition fans publicly (even in jest) during the week and then 'backing it up' with a 10 touch 1 goal game is border line embarrassing.

Unfortunately he has mastered pulling in his head already when not standing under the ball.
He has also doing a fine job in the taking short steps department.
The mouth is up to him, but when you dont put your body over the ball you are losing me.

How about you give the "lower socio-economic" bit a rest

It's such a sad flex

Has there been an update on Rankine and how he is going? Apologies if I have missed it, but thought the club would provide a specific update on it.

The reason the AFL need to send a message, is that otherwise this will be a tactic moving forward in the finals.

AFL needs to let the players know that this thuggery will end your season and then some.

Houston needs to miss a part of the 2025 season as well.

Rachelle suggesting that Port fans are missing teeth is an unfair exaggeration. It only applies to those who don’t have a turn to wear the dentures this weekend.

I can’t see how Houston gets less than Rankine and McAdam.

McAdams didn’t even result in concussion.

Rankine was standing still but caught the head of the swans player who was unaware. Definitely agree with Ranks getting 4 weeks for that.

Houston just lined Rankine up from 15 metres away and completely shirt fronted him. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen someone shirt fronted like that in the afl.

Should be a massive ban.

King was saying 8 weeks.

It has to at least end his career with Port, so hoping for a minimum of 5 at least.

There's vision of people literally waving at him as he goes down the race. They were absolutely booing him.
This is their heritage, this picture represents the majority of them. I didnt expect anything less.
