We've 5 players coming off ACL's, 2 or 3 are well into training drills so not so far away. The rest to come before mid year.

We had half a dozen out who could have played or could have played more minutes. A few others were unlucky not to be selected. We were a patchwork side last night playing a nearly full strength seasoned side.

We will have blow-outs n doubt, but if we get our full strength side in all at the same time, we will not be reliant on those kids.

We only had one bad quarter from mid second to mid third. The defence will tighten up over the weeks. Once Lalor, Smilie and Mcauliff are in the middle we’ll be stronger. We’ll be better round 1

Bolton has left a huge void. We have no one with breakaway pace in the midfield. We desperately need Taj Hotton to come on and be that player.

Defence is abhorrent without Balta and Gibcus. Miller just doesn’t compete and Blight is a good interceptor but seriously suspect one on one. Seth Campbell had a seriously dirty night out, have never seen him that bad but put it down to preseason cobwebs.

Trainor the big positive. Ross looks a decent B grade type in the midfield. Nank good around the ground and nice to see Hopper get through a game without limping off.

On another note, Vlastuin was the victim of about 7 unrealistic attempts at a mark and got paid a grand total of 0 free kicks. Looks like the umpiring and reaming will continue on in 2025.

The bad news and area for improvement is our f50 was shite
Curiosity Coll didn't beat us with a Steven May like 15 intercepts , they won most ground balls from our ordinary small forwards that were smashed
Nor could we pluck many marks from those entries

Not many oppo will have that kinda tin arse accuracy, pressure needs to be better tho

We can improve on the chess pieces in f50 and when playing sides in Our weight Div it'll certainly gives us some chance
