Way too early for talking replacement coaches with a full reset.

Revisit in 3 years.

Dimma crashed after 7 years as coach in 2016 with a great list.

I did vote him in with Peggy and Benny though.
yzes contract ends next year

lunacy to re sign him

If Yze and the club think, as reported, we just need to trade a couple of early pics for experienced mids like Rowell, we are ****ed.

We need to build a list from the ground up. Need to use pick 1 and north's pick on quality young mids with leg speed.
Thats north tactics.

Everyone said that about Dimma in 2016.

Yze in a no win situation.
With a list at full reset and not enough time to really get a true evaluation.
If we get crushed next year ,every game and play poorly ,maybe rethink.
But the list is loaded with kids who take years to put on the KGS and develop as players.

Whether very negative or positive, every Richmond supporter wants success again.

Hope fully the forum does not get personal with "eating our own" shenanigans.
I ignore all that BS and walk out with my Tiger tail raised high.

What about Short, he supposedly had a DE of 84% yet his 21 kicks 749 metres gained and 8 inside 50's still only resulted in 1 goal assist. He is a long kick but he does not find players on their own or does not kick to the advantage of our forwards (as the GA's stats highlight). When he is running past player receiving easy handballs and kicking under relatively little pressure, he needs to be hitting targets not just kicking long to contests, especially when we are so poor at defending turnovers. What is the value of Shorts metres gained. Let Smith or Banks or Brown try playing that role and see if they can actually hit a target.
He had 7 score involvements, the highest for our team, was one of our bests. The leader in goal assists last year was Brent Daniels averaging 1.5 a game.

Hilarious that Geelong guy coming here trolling. Have some ****en class man.

We rorted last year's draft and will probably have picks 1 and 2 this year.

All we have to do is get the coaching right because the talent will look after itself.

No team can expect to win many games when you've ripped the guts out leaving fringe players and draftees.

We know the road to success is full of potholes. Big ****en deal.

You know when fans are demanding Kozi to come back in to replace Miller happens, that's how bad Miller was. Grim stuff.

And they are right too.
why didnt kozi play ? he was way better than miller in defence last week

the match committee really have no clue

Been here before, pondering what the fk we do at training when we can’t hit a target, drop marks, miss very gettable set shots, can’t tackle/break tackles… realising that we will be mediocre for my eternity.
Then watched us become the slickest, cleanest, fiercest, most watchable team of the generation.
Be folly to suggest this is a certainty to be our trajectory but hope springs enteral.
Liked Seth’s burst from stoppage, albeit in 1 occasion but more reps than more consistency, worth pursuing. KMac2 had some moments, similar re reps. Trainor great start, few other moments here & there from others but need to play together more and I reiterate, get the reps up. Even Samson got his hands to it but couldn’t hang on to them, keep exposing him (it can’t get worse) and it may click as I’m in the Nank is a liability camp - great endeavour but ****s up more than does good these days and gets in the way.
Going to be some brutal viewing but a bit to look forward to…

dumma was a rookie coach and inherited a team littered with high end young talent

would be the same with griggs
Think Grigga ran into someone from Geelong in a servo, got chatting and ended up an assistant. Obviously good exposure there but didn’t get the feeling he was locked into coaching a long way out.

Maybe it doesn’t matter now, but you’d ideally like someone who’s coached their own team too.

maybe we could poach kingsley

One of the things that was evident last night and something we have not fixed from last year was that we constantly have a player who can have a snap for goal less than 30 metres out.
Not an easy snap mind you, but a clear pathway for a shot on goal.
Instead, we have this obsession with handballing it off to another player who in turn gets pressure put on him with the extra second the oppo has to close in.
Player who receives the ball is then forced to handball it off to a player in a worse position.
Repeat, repeat again and then turnover.
Oppo runs the ball up easily and scores.
This is a coaching thing.
Players must become more selfish and back themselves in having a shot.
It shits me so much.

They should change the name from AFL to ACL, there is that many players doing them now.
predominantly due to ridiculous stand rule, the game has no flow players forced ad nauseum to listen to the gaffer and his/her whistle, its bonkers, theyve taken natural instincts outta the game ,its faaaarked,i hardlly watch since 2023
corporate takeover has ruined what was once the best game, now its not worth pissin on

Yeah I remember that well! I'd just got back from WW1 & loved sitting at home having a cold beer watching it on Kayo it was still buffering then! Things were tough during the great depression that's for sure but this dynasty which began over 100 years ago is certainly a highlight of my life! I might go & watch some re runs of the Sullivans & have a wank over Mrs. Jessup. Spoont
Grace Sullivan was a glamour as was her daughter kitty
And Dave's first love Maggie behind the bar

This is the start of the reset.

Staying positive.

Three more years before a proper assesment.

The way it is unfortunately.

Enjoy the rollercoaster ,wheeeeeeee!

Plenty of upside.

Young players have learnt what it takes to get up the ladder again.
That’s the spirit.
I only watched the first half, and there were plenty of positives there.

I was actually pretty happy with the 1st half. They fluked a few quick goals early but after that we actually had more clearances and inside 50s. They were pretty much full strength besides Degoey and Mitchell.
Yep.
It was a bottom 2 side v a premiership contender.
A lot of people need to remember that before losing the plot.
