Good grief, move it to Round 3 or move it to Geelong? IMO the game should be postponed today, the evidence is clear that Thursday is going to be dangerous for players and fans.The AFL can postpone it and should postpone it. As for flying into a Cyclone area, think of it as flying into a looming danger zone. Why would you do it? Why would the AFL even consider that possibility?

take round zero to double headers at the SCG & Showgrounds (even if crowds take a hit and it’s a bit short notice to prep) or just flip hosting with the R15 & 17 (Suns/Essendon) return game fixtures if possible.

Integrity of the game is such an oxymoron. The game doesn't have integrity. It's draft is compromised, its fixture is compromised, its rule adjudication is compromised, its tribunal system is compromised, I could keep going on. Cancelling this game will not change any of those compromises.
The game should have already been cancelled or at least switched with the later Geelong home game. The AFL are embarrassing themselves. They actually expect those employed to put on the game - the ticket collectors, security staff, hospitality staff etc - to risk their safety getting to and from the ground because the broadcasters might get cross. It's a joke

Flip the home games. Geelong vs Brisbane at GMHBA. Essendon vs Gold Coast at the MCG (if Marvel is not ready).

The integrity of the competition? How? What home ground advantage is there playing in a cyclone with 110mm rain and 130km/hr winds?
Brisbane play Geelong twice. Gold Coast play Essendon twice.
Flipping the home games because of a cyclone (a very valid reason) is the best case scenario they could hope for.

I'm saying they should have already made the call. They should have just switched it to Geelong and the round 15 game gets played in Brisbane.

there's no reason to make the call now, and why switch the game if they can potentially play on Sunday or round 3
They've already shoved the swans and giants games off to 7 mate I'm hearing, which is really pathetic from 7 and from the AFL if they're letting them do that. Again, an issue with the Dillon leadership, he has no influence.
I was actually hoping that in the new tv deal starting this year they would have negotiated that a certain percentage of northern clubs games need to be on the main channel going forward. It's a really bad look if the number 1 code in the country develops a northern round, then it gets pushed off to page 4 of the locals on screen tv guide and nobody knows it's on. If that's the case what's even the point in round zero?
