Ollie's a weird player. Spends most of the time being trash but he has the knack of regularly kicking goals.

I think that's mostly a byproduct of being in good teams and not getting the defenders he would in others. He looked like being a player early but has not kicked on at all. A sub 190cm player averaging 9 career disposals wouldn't make it most teams.

Umpires.
Time zone.
Boundaries too narrow.
Empty crowd.
Not as hot as expected.

Poor Freo. Everything against the brave Dockers today. :(
Mate,

The Boundaries too narrow and crowd isnt an excuse weve used.

However the timezone and umpires are a legit whinge.

All the AFL had to do was make us the 430pm EST start time. Numerous independent studies have shown that pro athletes struggle to perform early morning.

Umps have been consistent in paying you free kicks in front of goals and not given us anything.

Also continuing to choke against decent opposition like late last year. That has to be a grievance.

Lucky Geelong went to sleep in the third quarter.

He kicked 40+ goals in a team that didn't play finals in 2023.

I agree he hasn't kicked on - but then again I am not what he would kick on to become.

Kicked 37 goals last year and 41 the year before, which is great for a secondary forward.

Which is fine. I just had higher hopes for him than what he is. Put him in our team and he's not kicking 25.

so 78 goals in the past 2 seasons, in an Essendon context for the guy you're replying to Peter Wright has kicked 38 goals in the same period of time (Jake Stringer kicked 63)
