Have to be impressed by Pies' discipline and game plan, and pretty even contributions. Special mentions to Cameron, who is brilliant and effective, SideBottom who looked like a teen gleefully running around predicting where the ball would be, Elliot for his skills and space creation even when he doesn't get the ball, and the coaching crew who made Swans look a one trick pony.

Only poor goal kicking kept Swans in with a sniff.

I don't think Pies are are flag faves, but still can't shake 2011 Cats vibes when watching them.

I don't want to talk about injuries. RFC won a flag without the best defender in the competition not so long ago, and another with their 2nd best defender ko'd in the 1st qtr of a GF. So don't start with that nancyboy rubbish.

With King out?

How could he be good enough to get a game every week with the Pies, but not the Saints?
Devil's advocate, but St Kilda actually have a heavy concentration of young guys who are 190cm+ marking forwards, so they'd rather put games into Owens, Sharman, Caminiti, Philippou and others as potential future partners with Max King.

I understand it from an age perspective - Teams make calls like this every year.

Yawn. The football world were really forgiving of the Pies who played most of last year with no key forwards and 8 of their best 23 missing most weeks. We were just a big disappointment and having a let down after the flag. Poor Swannies have some injuries.
19 injuries at one point and still just missed finals

It was a free, the decision was correct. It was just paid to the wrong team. The ball being hit out on the full in a ruck contest is treated the same as a ball that is kicked out on the full. Decision was correct, umpire just got the player that hit it out wrong and paid the free the wrong way
I must admit to not knowing the rule

What hurt Sydney was their appalling ground level ball contest. Sydney couldnt get their hands on the ball ..if they did they dropped or fumbled it
This is not an effort problem, ask any footy analyst and they'll tell you the Pies are one the best contest teams in it.
But every?? contest Collingwood seemed to (did) get the ball away to a team mate. Too quick?
This team has been training this for some time now, the speed of the game in the phone box has gone up another level over the last 3 years.
It was just uncanny and unbelievable looked like most of them were throws not handballs (great umpiring in favour of Collingwood).
Watch the game again, and then if you're still convinced the Pies threw instead of hanball in close, then go to spec savers.
omg shut down Steele ####bottom and Pendlebury (go play basketball) Whats changed… a few new additions but they are not the whole team..
Yeah sure, tag em both, let naicos off the chain. See what happens then.

You can't just 'shut em down' on a wish.
