Wasn't Boomer suspended when he tapped an ump on the shoulder to remind him that he ought to have paid a free kick?

Ump apparently felt threatened and was afraid for his life when he felt the tap from behind.
Yeah I remember thinking he was taking the piss, but he went full Carlton medical staff.

All 169cm of him.

Richmond rebuild done. They have surpassed us.
So did the Hawks.
So did the Blues. (Even as fraudulent as they are)
So did Poort.
So did Adelaide.
So Sydney will and will quickly overtake us.
So did the Dees and they will overlap us again on their new rebuild.
And so will Richmond.

What clubs can do in 1-3 years. It takes us 5+. We are the new 2000s era Melbourne and Carlton.

Nah, Longmuir is too from the Ross Lyon game plan of stopping the opposition to 10 goals and kicking 12 and has wasted a chunk of their list,
they will drop off as the year goes on as the kids tire (for Rich) and the games add up, they are doing well though

We were in the game for longer against a better team yesterday and fans are ready to fold the club.

Richmond are in the game for a half against Fremantle and their ahead of us with their rebuild being over

Amazing stuff

Still lost. Convincingly. Against a team we beat convincingly not that long ago. All of that goes out the window when almost the other half completely undoes all the work of that period of being ‘in the game’.

Like so what, every team is ‘in the game’ for a period and they fall off and lose or you stay in it for 120 minutes and win. That’s how it happens. Just because we can do it for 5 minutes to a quarter longer it just shows we’re still progressing FAR slower than any other club who is easily leapfrogging us in confidence, wins, team development and coaching strategies.

Nobody’s saying anything about ‘folding the club.’ The club is doing that fine on its own. But hey, “successful off-field, highest members, blah blah blah” — This is all rhetoric in contradiction to the facts on-field.

We should account for them and the Eagles easily.
Richmond will feel they are a chance against us and will come to tackle, cling, smother us and likely we will go to water and lose. Also if its wet, cold or any other meteorological condition that only impacts teams in blue and white it could get really ugly.

The team we beat 'convincingly' not that long ago is significantly different to the one we faced yesterday. I was going to say the colours they wore were about the only thing that they had in common but even that's not true.

Your second paragraph just proved my point - Richmond being 'in the game' for a half and you're calling that good enough to declare their rebuild over - after 5 games. They're going to be wandering around in the wilderness for at least another 3 years.

Contextually, the hyperbole after yesterday's game was as bad as I've seen on this board for a long time.

Any team is a chance on their day, especially if we don't turn up.
However if we even play like our 2nd qtr yesterday i'm confident we will beat them.

&
The Eagles seem like they have gone backwards even more this year.

It's from grief. I can't begrudge anyone flying off the chain after what we've sat through. The glacial signs of progress are there for those with enough goodwill left to see them, but when you're embarking on a streak of smashings for the sixth consecutive year, understandably it tends to get the fanbase down

Never said their rebuild was over. That was another poster.

I said they will surpass us. Big difference.

And the part about being in the game was referring to us and our form this year, not Richmond. We’re never in the game for 4 quarters and I’ve consistently said so for the last 4 seasons.
