I like it.They're one of the worst sides in the comp at generating a score from D50 (15th), but one of the best at scoring from turnovers (4th), particularly in their front half.
Our path to potentially turning this into a game:
I'd run with this game plan and adjust from there.
- Beat them at stoppage
- Over-possess the football coming out of D50, working our asses off to create short-medium targets by foot up the ground. I'd have uncontested marks as one of our KPI and we want to comfortably beat them in this stat.
- Maximise inside 50's per disposal chain out of D50 - in other words, really limit risk with our disposals and focus on limiting turnovers. Break in case of emergency should be LDL outside and get it out for a throw in.
- If we cause a turnover anywhere else, move it quick into our forward 50.
We'll make them one of the best. They're one of the worst sides in the comp at generating a score from D50 (15th)
Fantastic. I can't wait for Comben to gift them 5-6 goals from dumb long kicks across goal and dropped marks.but one of the best at scoring from turnovers (4th), particularly in their front half.
Yeah I agree with this.....he makes some pretty bad decisions as a backman as well.Play Comben forward ffs. May as well if we're going to consistently bomb it forward
Yeah, I think Corr has given away a lot of free kicks, lots of different reasons why. I also think Comben has made a lot of silly decisions as a backman resulting in easy opposition goals. Both Corr and Logue will play. Expect Phillips to come in
Okay, after the week and reviewing the replay pretty closely. Couple of big droppings should send the message. We'll get done by 100 with this side but it's better than 80 and pissweak efforts being reinforced. Yes it's drastic and no it's not saying the replacements are more talented.
Out: LDU, Powell, Logue, Corr, Fisher (inj), McKercher
Note: Sheezel goes back to half back. Midfield efforts haven't been up to scratch.
In: Scott, Archer, Pink, Teakle, Phillips, Hardeman
B: Archer - Pink - Hardeman
HB: Daniel - Comben - Sheezel
C: Stephens - Wardlaw - Tucker
HF: Curtis - Darling - FOS (stoppage)
F: Zurhaar - Larkey - Konstanty
R: Xerri - Parker - Simpkin
INT: Phillips - Duursma - Teakle -Scott
Phillips rewarded for VFL form. Him, FOS and Curtis to raffle the extra midfield time.
Teakle to play second ruck.
Its probably playing him to his strengths doing that, he’ll chase and tackle too.Comben forward. I would like to see him play CHF with license to get high up the wing to provide a target in transition.

Is LMac in or out?
These guys can't handle adversity at a graveyard in front of five North fans and one West Coast fan. 40k Port fans will send them into their shell from the very first minuteIf these guys had any passion then they'd leave it all out there at Adelaide Oval and go as hard as possible in front of 40k Port pricks. Skin-grating friction in a cauldron of adversity. Just try, boys...
Phillips on Butters and Simpkin on Rozzee....LDU goes to Judas...Hard tag on Butters & Rozee
stop them and North have a good chance
