Would have thought pace is the only thing he has, not that he uses it that well. Don’t fancy his chances inside.

Hate saying and not his fault but the contract stuff bothers me. We’re pretty generous with that with our youngsters. At least with Allan he size pace and good movement and ability below the knee (at the time) felt like a point of difference.

I’ve only watched two and a bit VFL games so far this year but one thing I’ve liked is that the VFL is aiming to play the same way as the AFL guys. At least some similarities in the way we set up.

Now because of skills it does look messy at times like today’s Q1 with all the missed handballs but obviously our gameplan is tailored to having elite skills on every line (Josh and Houston, Nick Pendles Sidey, Elliott Hill) so that’s to be expected.

Feels different to last year and I always see it as a great sign that a club sings as one and has their tactical shit together.

Assuming you are referring to Josh Bennetts he isn't Indigenous, pablo.

We've got three ex-AFL list players on our VFL list and they're all out with injuries at the moment (Bennetts, Gray and Taylor).

No you don't. Your thinking is very ordinary, even though those two are almost certain to be gone at the end of the year. They have the right to try and get fit and show they have something to offer.

And DeMattia has been thrown on ball to try and show something. I’ve seen him play HB, Wing and now in the middle and I just have not seen something resembling an AFL trait.

Compare this to TJ, West, Hayes, Cochran who show very clear AFL traits. The contract extension is puzzling.

I think the we'll get rid of the really early two year extension. None of HDM, Ryan and Allan really should have gotten them. At least Allan has the physical traits that you're going to give him 4 years, but hte other two are very lucky to have gotten 4 off the bat.
