The Kersten/Gibson thing started with the club/Scott the used car salesman who at the end of the year flogged the lemon off to Freo and the gullible Ross Lyon.Just shows where they are at. Mullins got 9 disposals to his opponents 28. Reminds me of Shane Kirsten a few years ago against Gibson and people celebrating on this board when he was flogged.
I certainly want more than 12 touches a game from Clark and don't see his gamr as anything but below average.
Some of us have standards I guess![]()

Yep you will never stop a player of his quality from getting his share of the footy for 4 quarters though but what you can do is limit the influence of his disposals with pressure and perceived pressure exactly what Mullin brought to the table.I think Mullin keeping him to just 3 possessions in the last quarter, when the game was there to be won or lost, was telling.
Neale wasn’t outstanding, but he contributed.I don't think many people are claiming Neale had a good game. He had a few good moments, particularly early on, but that's not the same thing. And anyone bagging Clark or Mullin is, I think, judging players on some pretty facile and shallow criteria.
C Scott and the coaching group are too smart for that. They are already plotting the next 6 moves.Luv to see how on Fox Footy now both Kingy and Joey are breaking down what the Cats are doing tactically under the guise of "CS is coaching well" but in reality they are making sure that every team and oppo scout out there is seeing what we are doing and putting us on blast just in case someone wasn't aware.
Sure, they still have to stop it which is another deal but still airing the dirty laundry gets a but old for mine.
Go Catters
And when he was on Sidebottom he sat on his head. Sidebottom swapped to the other wing after that.Dempsey hasn't been playing forward. He's been making those runs forward from the wing. It's a tactical move. Blicavs did it once from the wing in the first quarter too.
Crisp played on the wing and after the game said he was absolutely gassed from trying to chase Dempsey on those forward runs.
we get it, names are important. You can't even get his name right.
Exactly. And every team should / would know how every team likes to play.C Scott and the coaching group are too smart for that. They are already plotting the next 6 moves.
Yeah Josh is a bit overshadowed!Josh should get a few votes
If his brother gets more than it should![]()
100% on the money you pick one - not up for debate that Oisin quelled his influence substantially.Yep you will never stop a player of his quality from getting his share of the footy for 4 quarters though but what you can do is limit the influence of his disposals with pressure and perceived pressure exactly what Mullin brought to the table.

Neale wasn’t outstanding, but he contributed.
And the fact that he did some good things early meant that Collingwood actually had to put some time into defending him for the rest of the game. That certainly helps the team.
I thought he was adequate in the ruck when required, which is kind of all we need.
If on Brownlow night - 3 Votes: N. DaicosYeah Josh is a bit overshadowed!
Couldn't agree more with this statement. Geelong Football club effectively put up the middle finger to the face of the AFL for consecutive 6 day breaks, Collingwood's (and others) ridiculous MCG advantages and equalization and proved that heart and teamwork can overcome the odds. Fantastic effort for Geelong to even contest at this level given the inexperience in their side.Nothing, not once, has been said about us beating arguable the best team and premiership favourites with so many players with little experience.
If on Brownlow night - 3 Votes: N. Daicos
Check the umpires bank account to see what money they have on it - I can see him getting a vote from McRae, but I'm also comfortable in saying there was more influential Collingwood players on the night than Nick

Proof that stats alone are not always a great representation of a players contribution or impact. By most measures Cameron was in the best 4-5 players on the ground. Neale was nowhere near that.Neale 1 goal 8 disp 4 marks (3 contested) 2 tackles 3 hitouts 4 score involvements 251 metres gained 27 games

Who do you suggest we play to make Taylor accountable?Interesting week at the selection table.
Out: Stanley - Humphries (injured)
Available: Stewart - Miers
Possibles: Knevitt - Kolo - Henry
Likely Scenarios: Stewart a straight swap for Humphries / Miers a straight swap for Wiltshire
Will be interesting to see what the club does in the ruck as the Stanley replacement. If Kolo / or Henry are back they're both a good match up for Stringer or Hogan. SDK or COS a good match up for Cadman. That potentially releases Blicavs to spend more time in the ruck. Briggs is a big unit but Blicavs will blow him up around the ground.
Personally I think we're getting to a point of thinking about sending Neale back to the VFL to work on a few things. If Neale plays he has to have the job of making Sam Taylor accountable. Compete and bring the ball to ground - but don't let Taylor sag off and just get to other contest to chopout his defenders.
Toby Conway would have been handy if fit / available / or not locked in the rehab room.
Correct, edited. They have, they lose to the Crows, then Dogs and the Swans loss today was their third, the issue is this mirrors last year where they dropped 3 in a row to Swans/Bombers/Bulldogs before they rolled us at GMHBA by 4 points. That said we were equally in dire form.
That said they haven't lost 4 in a row since 2022 and in years where they do that they tend to miss finals.
They do have a good run after the Geelong match though so losing to us doesn't mean the end for them, but I would love us to really complicate their season because they then play;
Freo who don't travel well @ ENGIE
Blues coming off winning their annual GF against us and then struggling @ Marvel
Tigers aka yellow and black percentage boosters @ ENGIE
Port who are wildly inconsistent @ Manuka
