No MRP action from our game against the Pies. It's maybe a little surprising that there were no stray forearms or overenthusiastic bumps in a game with 220+ pressure rating, but these are two very skilled and disciplined teams.

Gary and Gerard on AFL360.

Blicavs - touch. Gary says not enough to overturn. Gerard says technology inadequate and shouldn't even check for touched on review.

Blicavs - HTB. Both in agreement it was correctly paid as HTB.

hill tackle - Gerard says HTB. Gary says trip.
I agree with Gerard (I htink) on the touched stuff - I think he is happy to keep for goal - line reviews (so if the goal camera picks it up) but get rid of it otherwise.

A snap out of a pack 30m out that goes through for a goal: if no umpire notices it was touched than I think it should be a goal. Otherwise we will invest in better and better technology to take more and more good moments out of the game

In play, Blicavs immediately said he touched it and the boundary umpire agreed with him, once that was confirmed by the boundary umpire it cannot be overruled unless there was clear evidence that it wasn't touched, I really don't see what all the fuss is about. Also, when asked on post match interview Blicavs once again confirmed he touched it, so I'm glad the correct call was made.

It really is a mountain being made out of nothing. The umpires thought he touched it. The vision was inconclusive so it wasn't overturned. What's the big deal?

What about we take touched by the defenders out of the equation altogether if the ball clears the goal line it's still a goal regardless, 90% of the problem solved. You will still at time have to see if it has come off the defending side or the attacking sides player.
That would see an end to absolute heroic efforts by defenders to spoil a ball through.

Unless you mean only touched by finger tips but then you start on a slippery slope of what is a touch and what is a spoil etc.

Anybody notice when and how in the second quarter Humphries copped the knock to the head that caused the delayed concussion?

Loose ball contest - no malice in it

GPS unfortunately has an error margin of around ten metres 😂

Maybe they could carry those big circular distance measurers with them?
I was watching golf the other night.

One guy was in the rough. He walked up to the fairway and laser measured to the flag.
He then turned and pointed the laser at his caddy who was standing over the ball.

I thought it was brilliant.

If you wanted to be perfect an ump up the ground ( or a player) could have the laser put on them.
And you'd get it real close.

But then we'd all say 'why are we wasting time?'
Anyone remember when there was no 50 metre arc? It would be a nightmare now without them.

BRING IT BACK COWARDS

:D
If they don't this needs to be the board's response.

Blicavs is an honest player. He should come out and criticise those who question his integrity…
