Has anyone had any? and if so does it taste any good?
Next time I'm down in Melbourne I'll scout it out. Although after careful research I now realise my money wouldn't only be going to Bazlenko

...Bailey Smith, Nick Daicos, Josh Daicos and Charlie Curnow wanted to create interesting drinks that are low-cal, low-carb and big on flavour – because life's too short for boring drinks and average company....

I think they're based out of North Melbourne so the Townie might stock some cans!

Just listening to Lachie Henderson on SEN 1116 (long form interview)

In 2015, he felt the club wasn't the best fit and he'd lost his love for the game and wanted to rediscover it elsewhere. Interviewer very understanding ... sometimes it happens. Such an interesting double-standard. When Bailey says that (indirectly) it's a "swipe" / "pot shot".

At the time, Henderson was stood down for indicating a desire to be traded after Round 20. Andrew McKay put out an appalling press release: "we want people who yearn to play for our Carlton jumper and who will accept the responsibility that comes with it".

Some things I hope have changed, but footy has a lot of growing up to do.

PS: As the interview continues: "there are some clubs where everybody is a complete robot. Geelong are the exact opposite."

The unintended consequences of the Baz trade are now baring fruit.

Look at how he praises the club for its stance on treating players like adults and letting then be themselves (within reason) and how its all harmonious and unicorns right now

It could change - at any time really given the alleged off season conversation and comments - but what its doing is showing every player out there that getting to play at Geelong really is as good as advertised and that GFC as destination club is still very much real, very much a thing and very much still expanding in desirablity.

GO CAtters

Speaking on Tuesday, the AFL's chief executive Andrew Dillon said the League remained in communication with Geelong around Smith's behaviour and any potential ramifications that could follow.

"The team is talking with Geelong and they're talking with Bailey," Dillon said.
"We wouldn't want to see it again."

What an absolute waste of energy and everyone's time. If anyone actually hassled the AFL to respond that's so much wasted energy and then for the AFL to go and follow up with Geelong......my lord.

I thought it was a pretty good response from Bailey to constant harassment he gets about doing coke. It's the old if you joke about it yourself then you ruin the joke. But now that the AFL have followed, people will keep trying to bait him over it. Well played AFL, nailed it.

Not wanting to intrude.

Respectfully I hate your club more than any. Personally I love the way Bailey goes about it. Talk the talk and back it up by walking the walk.

I hate the bloke, but I think hating the villains in the game is part of the theatre. The game is better for it.

The fixture is a raffle, the umpiring is a raffle, the tribunal is a raffle. Anything the AFL is responsible for is a raffle!

AFL need to sort their shit out and let the players do their thing.

Just my thoughts, for the record your club makes me hate Easter and that’s really shit for my kids. Hope you’re proud of yourselves!

At least we can say you're honest 🤣. Thanks for engaging. The world will be a better place when we break down silos.

You can't half tell he was a Hawks supporter growing up can you :moustache:

I'm going to say this as someone recovering from addiction and an unlucky number of mental health issues, and I plan to really only raise it once. Some on here may even recall darker days on another board where I've inflicted my shit on others.

The only way out that I, and some others, have found is unfiltered honesty. No performing, pretending or varnishing. Truthfulness (as opposed to needless confessions or confrontations) becomes almost a survival mechanism just as much as dishonesty once was.

It's something that I admire tremendously in Bailey and something he may have already had to figure out in his own way.

Every so-called "slap", "thinly disguised criticism" or "inappropriate remark" so far from him has had one thing in common. He was asked a question and he answered it. His nose beers remark came across to me as completely different - the essence of his remark was that it wasn't even a factor for him - just for today.

Good on him. I'm starting to think I like the kid.

Just read an article in The Age where Bailey talks about his difficulties with his mental health. Respect.

The article is taken from an interview on a podcast Real Stuff.

Great interview, love that he catches up for a coffee every morning with Gaz jnr.

Until the AFL stop hiding certain players partaking in drugs during the season they can stfu.

This.....they go out of their way to shelter players and hide the drug use, but then get all righteous when a guy sarcastically responds to a snide remark that he cops regularly.

If the AFL is so bloody worried about 'image' and 'perception' then how about it have a crack at being fair dinkum on the issue, rather than having a crack at a guy using sarcastic humour?!

AFL won’t do shit, they just want to be seen as doing the right thing as drugs are bad, but like every multi billion dollar company in the world, drug use is huge.
