I personally find the talk of Dudley coming in for Banfield odd.

Albeit he has limitations, Banfield is the best swingman we have. I personally believe he can be just as effective up forward as Dudley, whilst also being able to fill a roll down back if required. He's also a more viable option as a sub.

Dudley definitely brings energy & excitement, but he is not the messiah. He also has limitations, more so than Banfield I believe.

Don't think it should be direct swap one for the other
Dudley does bring X factor in fwd line that banners doesn't, but banners has that versatiliyy and I think his best position is up the ground or in def, but can swing fwd if need be

Don't think need two rucks for roos so Darcy out duds in

If Worner is injured no way Banfield is dropped. Unless we swing Wagner back to defense or keep Draper in the team and play tall.

I don’t think Alex will be fit reading between the lines but if he is then it’s Draper or Worner (if inj),out.

The squeeze to get Dudley in will be very interesting (not to mention Jaeger, NOD, Young, Walker, Simpson, Walters ahead). Team balance needs to be factored in so unless there are misfortunes over the bye round we’re gonna have a tough call to make which is exactly where you want to be as a team.

Can’t see too many changes tbh.

Darcy and Fyfe to build in wafl next week. Both to stay in.

Pearce for Draper if he’s fit.
Wombat might only come in for injury?
If worner is out are we more likely to go with nod rather than wombat, is that better for team balance?

Will be interesting when nod, JOM and Walters are fully fit in a few weeks.

Treacy is having a lean spell with only one goal in his past three games. He is doing plenty of other worthwhile, team oriented work off the ball and in general play however.

Against GWS he was matched up on one of the very best defenders in the AFL in Sam Taylor. Treacy pulled Taylor up the ground by mainly positioning himself as a half forward. This helped to create goal scoring opportunities for the other forwards.

In the games against Port and the Suns the wet condions, along with two very good opponents in Alier and Andrew made for two tough matches for him. He still contributed with plenty of contests and worked to put his teammates into better positions.

Treacy is maturing as a player and has no problem sacrificing his game to help the team get results. Looking forward to seeing him finish the year strongly.

Whether Pearce is ready or not I’d still drop Draper.
Didn’t deserve to be in there in the first place and did absolutely zero to justify it.
Omac or give Hugh a chance (he definitely deserves it)

Really need to get nod back in there was looking real good before injury and his game just adds another dynamic to our mids

Of which none really deserve to be dropped .. except sharp.

I dgaf how many kms the bloke runs when you can count on one hand the number of possies he gets 3 games in a row and in this particular game his opponent absolutely torched him , well if his “role” is so important to the game plan that a player of his calibre can’t be dropped after his form I’d say the problem lies with the game plan

Rotate nod/johnno/chappy through his position.

With the way Ras is coming on and maybe jonnos finally doing something constructive with his possies plus adding nod , who was easily one of our best during the early rounds we won’t miss a beat

And of course duds has to come back in
Worner the obvious one but I’m still not convinced Darcy doesn’t need a couple good honours at peel

There's a WAFL bye next week for Peel so no-one can go back and build form. It'll have to be match sim training for anyone that gets dropped.

There's actually a 2nd bye for Peel coming up in 5 weeks as well.

I suspect old horses o courses is full of shit

Unless it pisses down for the next 2 weeks there is no legitimate logical case to be made for 2 X rucks vs North

What SHOULD happen

Out : Darcy Fyfe Draper
In : Pearce Dudley Sub : Banners

What WILL happen

Out : Draper
In : Pearce

Why do people want Darcy dropped yes he didn’t have his best game but he let Voss stay fwd full time and Had his best game
Jackson was still number 1 ruck and when he wasn’t he was able to play midfield and be around the ball
Darcy gave good hit outs to the mids

Darcy didn’t come in and make jackson a lesser player he came in to support Jackson

There's a number of things that have changed that have lessened his impact, but he's definitely had a slight form dip too.

His marking and kicking have not been as assured, although it has been wet weather footy in the last couple so hard to be too harsh.

I've loved his team orientated focus though, a good forward line, and team, is working for each other.

Darcy was ineffective, whilst Jacko was close to our best on. He’s just a big body at the moment. It worked yesterday, but I still prefer the team balance that an extra small forward like Dudley brings, and that’s what you’ve gotta weigh up.
