Don't think it should be direct swap one for the otherI personally find the talk of Dudley coming in for Banfield odd.
Albeit he has limitations, Banfield is the best swingman we have. I personally believe he can be just as effective up forward as Dudley, whilst also being able to fill a roll down back if required. He's also a more viable option as a sub.
Dudley definitely brings energy & excitement, but he is not the messiah. He also has limitations, more so than Banfield I believe.
There's a number of things that have changed that have lessened his impact, but he's definitely had a slight form dip too.Treacy is having a lean spell with only one goal in his past three games. He is doing plenty of other worthwhile, team oriented work off the ball and in general play however.
Against GWS he was matched up on one of the very best defenders in the AFL in Sam Taylor. Treacy pulled Taylor up the ground by mainly positioning himself as a half forward. This helped to create goal scoring opportunities for the other forwards.
In the games against Port and the Suns the wet condions, along with two very good opponents in Alier and Andrew made for two tough matches for him. He still contributed with plenty of contests and worked to put his teammates into better positions.
Treacy is maturing as a player and has no problem sacrificing his game to help the team get results. Looking forward to seeing him finish the year strongly.
Darcy was ineffective, whilst Jacko was close to our best on. He’s just a big body at the moment. It worked yesterday, but I still prefer the team balance that an extra small forward like Dudley brings, and that’s what you’ve gotta weigh up.Why do people want Darcy dropped yes he didn’t have his best game but he let Voss stay fwd full time and Had his best game
Jackson was still number 1 ruck and when he wasn’t he was able to play midfield and be around the ball
Darcy gave good hit outs to the mids
Darcy didn’t come in and make jackson a lesser player he came in to support Jackson

Tough selections calls to be made.
