IMO we don’t need two rucks against Xerri. Jackson will do and Dudley back in
I disagree - Xerri is a monster and their leading clearance player. We nullify him and its game over. Two rucks would give us the best chance of this.

I'm not sure Goldstein got a tap in the 4th quarter against Carlton. I think De Koning had 7-10 of them and Carlton worked over the top.

I like the idea of forcing Essendon to either play another tall to be thrown against the rock of Darcy or take Wright out of the forward line for long periods and still lose the clearances.

If Darcy plays which is fine - I can’t see a position for Dudley. Unless he is brought in for Worner. Worner seemed more like Hamstring awareness and has had a fortnight off.

Honestly no way Fyfe gets called up and then dropped. Banfield is playing HBF and aside from that 50metre penalty had looked good.

Darcy really could do with a run at Peel but if the best team to counter North involves him playing then no issues.

Agree that Darcy should play this week. I would then rest him vs Essendon, who could be found out by a lack of run.

Not sure whether Dudley plays this week, but should def play the Dons game.

We should try to protect Jackson against North. Keep him as fresh as possible to take on Goldy solo.

i watched a fair bit of the WC v North game until I decided to wash my eyes out with some tear gas.

It should not matter who our 22nd or 23rd player is going to be for this one. If we get beaten, it will be because the whole team showed up still in holiday mode, not the final place selections.

Do we expect a big crowd to attend for this one?
A lot of freo fans will have to buy a ticket separate to their membership yeah?
Imagine it will mean a significantly smaller crowd than a normal freo home match

Yeah, for members you had buy a ticket before 25 Feb to be guaranteed your usual seat. Ticketmaster and the Freo app are a bit problematic at the moment.

That was after listening to that game on the radio and imagining it.

Banfield playing off half back.

It’s not like for like in fact the complete opposite but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Dudley come in for Darcy. I understand why Darcy played against GC - rain and repeat stoppages. Watching North today and Xerri is solo ruck really with chop out from Darling. LJ can after a break manage this with chop out from ever improving Voss.

Nat Fyfe stays as sub.

That is the only change I’d make.

Otherwise could drop Draper for McDonald but I think they’ll stick with Draper.
Xerri is a man mountain. No way Jackson goes all day v him.
Darcy has to ruck, and Jackson can dominate whatever second ruck North has

Judging by the fact they've released $24 'general admission' tickets and almost every block has tickets available on the seating map on Ticketmaster I'm assuming they've sold very little.

I'd love to see a semi-reasonable crowd, but I'm also a hypocrite because I'm not going this weekend unfortunately.

Where did you see those prices?

The club hasn’t done a great deal to promote it, in my view — possibly because they don’t have any financial stake in it.

There’s a sentence at the end of recent news stories posted to the website, and the occasional half-hearted call from coach/player in media pieces. But not much else. If members missed the email back in November about getting early access to buying their usual seat, they probably aren’t even aware that they don’t have a ticket as part of their membership.

I've just realised it may have been a specific offer, it was advertised as GA tickets but looking in more detail they're still seated tickets in a few blocks (133/137/139/149/150) at the lower price.

I've asked if it's something I can distribute or not.

EDIT: drop me a PM if interested

I'd prefer McDonald but they're not dropping Draper this week against a weaker forward line.

If Darcy stays fit he doesn't play for Peel again IMO.

Nah I'm not going, I thought North were meant to have such a huge fan base in WA they didn't need us attending anyway. So I figure if I go I'll either be surrounded by tens of thousands of blue and white idiots or, more likely, hit in the head by a flying pig
