I think the biggest problem is we are moving the footy way too slow at the moment which is making it impossible to score and it’s obviously the game-plan to allow time to setup behind the ball. I think the reason we go slow is cause would get killed on transition as our midfield is so slow but the question I ask Yze is why don’t we try and throw some more players through the midfield like Campbell, Brown, and Mansell. It’s frustrating seeing Prestia Taranto and Hopper in there all the time.

Blight, perhaps the better match-up purely based on his size and his good spoiling technique. I would have liked to see Yze make a change after his 3rd or 4th goal and see if Blight could curtail Thilthorpe

With Lynch likely to get a week min, or 2 max if the MRO puts on the Lynch tax.
The backline would then be Blight, Miller, Broad, Trainor, Vlastuin, Brown, Banks

I did that last year though. I didn’t judge him on his game last year because he was a new coach and had a ton of injuries to his side. But my problem is that he sometimes makes strange decisions. For example, I have no idea why Ross and Green are still in the side. It’s been weeks since they did anything notable. They’re still here, and I don’t know if it will change next week. Maybe it will, maybe it won’t.

But I’d probably say he’s at the stage where he needs to show us that we’re going in the right direction. I’m over people trying to fill the gaps for him, and trying to show us why he’s excused in this or that game. I just want him to show us why he’s the man to lead Richmond.

if you judge by effective disposals, I think Ross was our best midfielder

Been getting held for years! These blokes are professional footballers who pump iron, box & live in a world fuelled by testosterone & we expect them to compete & leave no stone unturned, yes they get paid reasonable money but it’s relative to what they produce in the grand scheme of things. Any Tiger supporter or so called supporter who had a problem with that today can ** off as far as I’m concerned! He’ll be suspended because the AFL is a PC piece of shit! He basically threw a reverse inside bitch slap in frustration, it wasn’t a king hit & anyone who thinks it was needs to go & sit in a support group for soft ***!
Imagine actually being physically fit, strong & tough on hundreds of thousands of dollars a year & you can’t impose yourself on a contest because of the optics involved! Looks like Tom won’t ever get a gig on dancing with the stars!

I did see a replay of Lynch's first hit and really it was a slap (not a punch) to the back of the Adelaide players shoulder. It looked more like he was trying to break the guys gip on him. Richmond needs to go to the tribunal and embarrass the ALF with about 20 examples of Lynch being held and 20 examples where Carlton and Collingwood players got frees. Lynches second punch deserves a penalty.

Don't judge him on this season too much. Hopefully he's just coaching our base game plan this year, nothing fancy, no real plans B etc.
They can build on that over the next preseaon and give last years draft crop another full preseason and hopefully see a bit more variety in middle.
Just remember also, if they were playing more youth in the centre we would prbe copping bigger defeats, I'm sure that wouldn't go down well either.

I'm in a similar camp- this year was always going to be a year where we needed to see the kids show a little and try to snag a few wins.

I might be clutching at straws but Yze has mentioned the limited time they have over pre season to teach the gameplan and you often see coaches teaching different stages of the gameplan over a number of years. I'd say last off season we had a big focus on our defence (as we should have) and perhaps we are yet to get to the attacking transition overlay.

This is all I can think of as we are putrid movers of the footy from our backline. Even with kids, you'd expect to see more run and dare (and they all have the capability)
