What is Kane Cornes obsession with thinking Max Michaelaney should be a Midfielder? He rates him which is great and thinks he's a star but why does he think he'd be a good Midfielder?

I've always thought he'd be a good mid. He's very balanced, strong in the hips, calm under pressure, has pace and good skills.

When Butts is fit and not carrying a niggle he's an AFL quality KPD, the problem has been we've often played him when he has obviously not been 100% fit like last year when he played with a heavily strapped calf, when it came off he was right back to his best...unfortunately soon after he did his foot.

Many on this board have underrated Butts ability to lockdown the opposition's best key forward.

From recollection he was given a tagging role for part of a game and had to follow them in for a few CBA's

I don't think he specifically sent in as a mid

A fair bit of good today that's already been said. Richmond weren't exactly high quality, but good to get another win at the g at the very least.

A couple of critical thoughts.

We looked a bit slow at times today when they got on the outside. Burned our players off quite often, but they weren't good enough to capitalise.

We gave A LOT of hospital handballs today. Richmond pressure wasn't too bad, but we made some poor choices by hand and over handballed at times.

Going forward still quite wasteful. Better in the second half, but still concerning that we're not capitalising as much going forward when we have such quality i50.

Tex losing his vision as well? Laced out Richmond player and tapped down to two Richmond players at one point. Just struggling all round.

Rankine still so inconsistent. Flashes of such high quality and then kicking ootf and dropping an easy mark. If he could find some consistency with his impact, we could go to the next level imo.
