Certified Legendary Thread The New Carlton Thread: 31st season without a flag for the eternal dickheads

Isn’t Mario from Doncaster a Richmond supporter?
On further research it seems you’re correct.
This past week or so there was something I heard/read that made me think he is a bluebagger (may have been baiting Carlton supporters etc). Haven’t really heard much talk back to be honest and particularly from tigers supporters.
Mario’s famous line about spewing is actually my favourite fan melt. 😆🤣

It should not be up to Voss to front the media about that kind of thing.

They’ve got a President, an outgoing CEO, an incoming CEO, and a (albeit also under fire) footy boss. But nah, they let the Senior coach who is currently in the gun to go out and defend himself against these threats?!?

That’s friggen nuts.

Carlton are well and truly screwed.

The only explanation I have is that this bloke made the threats:

The AFL’s scheduling is so frustrating. Here we are with a six-day break when there’s such an abundance of Carlolton content — fan cams, podcasts, match reviews, analyses — available online after last week’s rogering.
I’m still miles away from completing my in-depth review of the current material and now required to butter up and go again given this week’s avalanche is imminent.
Be fair Mr Dillon. A full week is required to bask and luxuriate in the ocean of Carltonfreude available after each game. Please do better next year.

So the Oz is reporting that the fool who called in the Voss message is "not a Blues’ member but is believed to have an influential or senior position in their field of work."

So I guess that means Carlton/The AFL might be saying to him, "hey buddy, we can't really do anything to you, but we can name you. How about a donation to charity?"

Main take outs.

“I’d like to report 23 missing persons and pre-emptively report the murder of Michael Voss”

“Collingwood will not tolerate any threats to officials, supporters or individuals involved in our great game – such conduct is unacceptable and not representative of the club or its values.”

The league did not invoke a lifetime ban as Victoria Police did not interpret the message as a genuine death threat, but rather an inappropriate and out-of-line football sledge.

The perpetrator is believed to be a senior figure in his line of work, but neither the AFL or the two clubs involved in last Friday night’s game would confirm his identity or job.

Anyone actually seen the message, looks more a joke than anything close to resembling a death threat.

Everyone on here needs to stop being whiney little boomers

“I’d like to report 23 missing persons and pre-emptively report the murder of Michael Voss”

Yeah, I agree. It's a joke for sure. People need to lighten up. Lol.

I laughed at your comment about whiny boomers being sensitive to threats of violence

… just want to clarify that I was laughing at you on that one, not with you 👍

5 yrs!

Geebus, I would've been executed a long time ago.

Sound like it was some drunken, half-arsed attempt at a joke, probably done performatively in front of mates.

Just plain dumb and in bad taste to talk about murder on an official platform like that, joke or not. Enjoy the ban, bozo.

The troglodyte deserves more than 5 years and should be permanently banned from buying a membership by the club.

Don't want to be associated with people like that. Gave every Collingwood fan something to be ashamed of.

Yeah, it wasn't a death threat, but it was idiotic, drunken behaviour, using a hotline that exists for serious reasons. Dighead.

As I said in the other thread. It's a joke that Mick Molloy or Sam Pang would tell on The Front Bar, and the audience would burst into laughter. The AFL is so sensitive.

Agree. About as clever as joking about bombs whilst on a plane.
