Happy to win another game.
Don't really understand all this finals predictor focus.
Cliche and all that but just take it one game at a time.
.A solid win doesn’t get the posters going as much as a loss we should have won!! It’s very true, today was a win but flat and flows on to the views on the game. Nothing to have a crack at.Sorry just ****ing about.
Sometimes seems like a loss these threads go off more than a win. Especially a bit of a "just solid" win.

Still can’t believe how good Heeney was, exceptional!
Hit outs in their own are not a stat to base a 200 point win comment on, they mean nothing, hit outs to advantage is the number to pay attention to…Heeney was great. I thought Buller did a lot other than kick goals. Sad about the shank but he presents. People forget his only other game before this stint was against the best Full Back in the game in Harris-Andrews. What an initiation.
Do you realise we had 80 HO to 10? We should have won this game by 200 points with that sort of advantage. But we allowed then to intercept the HO in the last 3/4 and a half. In the first quarter about half way through Clarko realised they were getting flogged by Grundy, 62 HO, so he got them to rove to him. Sumpkin and LDU just cleaned up and we made no move to combat this.
Other than 10 minutes in the first and the last quarter, this was forgettable. I will watch those moments and hope we can reproduce that for awhile game next week. Because if we don't we will get absolutely flogged

If McCartin is available for GWS we'll need all 3. Robbo might get a spell.North were only kicking a winning score if Zurhaar and Curtis had good games. Rampe, Cunningham and Wicks comprehensively shut these 2 down. Hamling also had an excellent game and can't be dropped based on his last 2 games. It will be interesting to see how Cox juggles the backline when McCartin comes back.

Move over Punts. So you're a glass half empty, no ice and a pubic hair left on the rim kind of guy?
Out of context, that would be two very unappealing options. Is this an Autopsy or maths class?
Yeah it's strange. Anywhere else on the ground and there's no question about itCurtis miss should be kicking in danger not a behind
Fortunately for the rest of us he's not good looking or wealthyIt’s amazing how much better at footy heeney is than everyone else
Sitting at the ground on the O'Reilly wing, Blakey ignored him around 3-4 times when clearly open...only to make bad decisions with ball in hand. He was covering the ground incredibly well and would often be 1-on-1 with his opponent in the attacking 50 just to be ignored. Not one of the great games but my only complaint was that we got a bit too fancy too often and tripped over our own feet.
Heeney
Grundy got many hit outs but a lot of them went to North.
Gulden was hurt early on and played like it. Not crisp but battled on.
Warner played like a smart arse.
McInerney was very solid. His tackle that brought his goal was murderous.
Wicks played so well he got a special whinge from Clarkson.
Hamling, Melican and Cunningham were solid, as were Buller and McLean.
JJ looked lost without someone to tag. Not a great game from him.
Gee whiz Campbell got into some good spots only to be ignored. Must be frustrating.
Blakey was more solid tonight - fewer clangers.
Hayward worked incredibly hard all game.
Gus played a decent game too.
Others were quiet, mostly OK but not good or bad.
Good to get the win but our best would have won by 12+ goals.
It’s all academic since I can’t see us winning the last 5. Even if we beat GWS, we still play Geelong and Brisbane without a functional forward line (i.e. without Amartey). I think it’s a bridge too far to expect us to win all 3 of those games.Reality is baring an unusual amount of upsets or 2 teams choking there's probably going to be a team with 14 wins that misses out on Finals. GWS have enough games against the lower teams that they probably sneak in on percentage at least. Hawthorn and Fremantle are the 2 most likely to drop an unexpected game for me. Both have similar runs home and I haven't seen anything from either of them that makes me consider them a threat. I think the Bulldogs have enough games against lower teams and a healthy enough percentage to sneak in on percentage. Gold Coast are also a chance of one of the games against Adelaide or Brisbane being a hiding against.
Even if Sydney do win all 5 games they need at least 2, probably 3 of those 5 games to be at least 40 point wins and at least 1 of them to be 100+. West Coast in the last round is probably the most likely. Making up around 25% in the last 5 rounds isn't going to be easy.
Yeah, I thought Blakey was pretty terrible in general. Again. I saw quite a few clangers and dumb kicks. His occasional rebounding run doesn’t make up for his constant errors and poor decisions. He’s a liability.Sitting at the ground on the O'Reilly wing, Blakey ignored him around 3-4 times when clearly open...only to make bad decisions with ball in hand. I don't think he will be AFL- ready next year, but i think we will see him start to put in some regular strong VFL performances.Good to hear DQ, I think he is a better project than Stretch and we have invested. I am hoping another pre season and he will be close to ready in 26, Obviously Grundy in rare form so not a huge need yet, but hopefully season 3 we start to see something more consistently
I think in the future we may remember him in the same conversation as Goodes and Kelly. A big call, but i haven't seen a more naturally talented Swan in the last 30 years.Yep, Heeney is Godlike. How lucky are we to have him?
What's with these crap 2nd quarters and average 3rd quarters in last 2 games? Best we sort that out before Friday or we will be destroyed by Canberra.
So much for the % booster. Not even 100 against Roos? Argh!
Brisbane is the game we lose. I'd have Sydney as favourite for the other 4.It’s all academic since I can’t see us winning the last 5. If we do somehow win them all though, it’d be a tragedy to end the season with 8 wins in a row and still miss out.
Exactly. My direct experience was Heeney's second goal. Campbell was on his own 15m out from the point post. Heeney marked, saw Campbell (who was ready) thought about the longish handball, thought "no", went back and kicked the goal. Selfish? Confident? All of that but Campbell did his bit.Sitting at the ground on the O'Reilly wing, Blakey ignored him around 3-4 times when clearly open...only to make bad decisions with ball in hand. Must be all those NRL skills he absorbed growing upIt’s amazing how much better at footy heeney is than everyone else
