Would've been another 100 point flogging if we hadnt turned up for a half.Least they played a decent first quarter and a half which is more than we have in some games this year

What are you actually saying though? You’re always on hand to ridicule the people criticising the team, but this looks extremely silly after performances like last night’s. Do you think the team is above criticism or something? Should we never express displeasure regardless of how badly they play or how mediocre the list might be? Constant positivity no matter the situation? That sounds so boring and would kill the board imo.Absolute joke the way some carry on.

Bloody Sportsbet ad in my head now ^_^Just have a crack and finish strong in 2025
Mate, We were not a top 6 defence in 2024 (7th). We've consistently been a top 6 attack, and not consistently been a top 6 defence.2024
Top 6 defence, Top offence
2025 (when we have had our best team available or most part last 6-7 games)
Top 6 defence, 9th best offence
Thanks for proving my point that it is the offence that needs work because we don't have a deadly accurate reliable finisher and not enough goal scoring

Statistically we were top 6. Given that all the statistics I used across them both included finals. If I wasn't to include Finals then the statistics would further prove my point that our Offence has turned to crap this year.Mate, We were not a top 6 defence in 2024 (7th). I'm not sure what point you think I proved, if anything you proved your own point wrong with that selective sample size. Essentially you're saying in the last 6-7 games we've been winning because our defence was good regardless of our mediocre scoring. 6-7 games good games does not make that a top 6 defence, when years of data prove from the same defence otherwise.
All the top 7 sides right now have high quality KD's.....only 3 of them have high quality KF's.
Add Jesse Hogan into our side it makes a small splash, in fact probably encourages more useless bombs to an outnumbered player. No doubt we're slightly better but it doesn't fix the biggest issues.
Add Sam Taylor into the side instead and it improves us insanely.
I think you miss my point, fine for us to improve our attack, but IF we are not prioritising fixing our defence first... Next year will be another year where there's these continual collapses keep happening from time to time....and there will be no chance for a flag. Defence wins flags.
Anyway we disagree, that's fine.

At the risk of derailing this thread - have a look at our stats from 2024 round 14 onwardsStatistically we were top 6. I'd suggest looking at the statistics before commenting on said statistics
My different data has clearly shown over multiple time horizons that the struggle and difference between 2024 and 2025 has been offensively
This group is displaying all the signs of PTSD and needs to be treated accordingly. When GWS turned on the pressure and spread it hit them like Brisbane and Geelong and their brains and bodies shut down. Not all and not totally but enough to turn it into a rout.
I don't know what the solution is but I'm pretty sure the usual tricks are not going to work.
Ollie is a case in point. Dropping him has achieved nothing. He is still rattled. Lloyd went back to propping, Gulden sprayed them, Warner tried to do too much, Blakey got flakey. Mills and Rampe got overrun. Rowbottom checked out.
What are the "seconds" supposed to do when the leaders are losing it?
Cox is on a hiding to nothing.
It's why Longmire bailed.

. Who cares, each to their own.Statistically my last post shows that the drop off is rather even however it shows that the offence has fallen off more this year.7th for points against in 2024. The other data is kind of irrelevant to me when that is the final result. Either way we were the best defence at 13-1, shows how badly we fell off to fall that far on any metric anyway.
Our offense had been out injured all year, our defence has had issues but been less affected and has still been average. We have more scope to improve our offense with what's already on the list than we do to improve our defence with what's already on our list. That's all our say, both ends need improvement but one is more far urgent and costly to our chances imo. Anyway we can agree to disagree.
