Fun fact that a few on here probably don't know. Nasiah's biological Dad kicked 5 on Adam Cooney in a SANFL grand final and played for Norf for 5 years. Nas was 10 months old when his Dad was recruited in 2003.
In 2011, Terry, his stepdad, was recruited to us from Ports SANFL side and Nas - now aged 8, spent a couple of years hanging out with Lenny, BJ and the likes at the Saints.
When his Mum, Gav's sister had repeat illnesses, they moved back to SA to be closer to family.
In the years following his return (as an 11 year old), he become very good friends with a (assumed by Nas) distant cousin from the same area. A kid named Isaac Keeler, who was a member of the Crows Academy, yeah, they dumped him though.
Do we know who else was a member of the Crows Academy but not picked up by them, albeit a few years earlier... Leek Alleer.
Sounds like a long winded piece of fiction but it’s all true.

Cheers mate, and despite the age gap, it seems Leek and Isaac were both part of their NGA academy at the same time so would know each other pretty well.Great information.

For someone who (based on this post) could barely put two words together I agree, great call!
I've said this previously but I seriously think we should present a case to play Fremantle in Perth as a second Dreamtime game every year.I cannot understand why we are not lobbying to be part of the Dreamtime game next year? Why do Richmond and Essendon have a monopoly on this? We should definitely be considered for this game next year based purely on the proactive work we do and the nurturing of Indigenous talent.
NWM has a lot of history and a lot of links to St Kilda.Cheers mate, and despite the age gap, it seems Leek and Isaac were both part of their NGA academy at the same time so would know each other pretty well.
Great idea.I've said this previously but I seriously think we should present a case to play Fremantle in Perth as a second Dreamtime game every year.
- It gives Western Australians a much better chance to celebrate the First Nations contribution to footy.
- Fremantle and St Kilda both have had a strong history with indigenous players.
- It gives two smaller clubs an opportunity to boost their profile.
- St Kilda have a decent following in WA iirc.
- Because of the time difference TV scheduling wouldn't be a problem and the two games could be played back to back.
Thursday is actually National Orgasm Day.Surely Max Hall announcement tomorrow, windy Thursday and nas Friday... Would be a 3 day long orgasm...

Nah, none of them know. He clearly hasn’t made up his mindNAZ knows, his manager knows and the STKFC knows. Make of that what you will.
Of course he has, makes me laugh when players say this, he knew months ago what he wanted to do and that is if possible get home if not I want the biggest pay check to stayNah, none of them know. He clearly hasn’t made up his mind
lol okOf course he has, makes me laugh when players say this, he knew months ago what he wanted to do and that is if possible get home if not I want the biggest pay check to stay
So if NWM nominated Adelaide you wouldn’t trade Rachele, Soligo, Curtin, or by the sounds of it, anyone decent?
So what’s the point of NWM nominating Adelaide?
What a waste of time. For everyone.
Some late first round and second round draft picks is a joke. It’s not going to get anything done. It’s delusional.
Nor are offering up a number of nice players who are not A graders. We don’t want your scraps.
If the Crows want a top 5 player in the competition they have to give up valuable assets. And that would hurt.
It’s why I have said several times a trade for NWM would be as just as difficult for the landing club as it is for the losing club.
I’m not sure posters on the Adelaide and Port board really understand that. They seem to be in this fog where they think they can bend St Kilda over and give them scraps and still land NWM.
It won’t happen. Let’s just be realistic. NWM may be OOC but it just won’t happen.
And it is why NWM will almost certainly re-sign at St Kilda. Because he can’t get home because neither club is prepared to provide the player assets needed to get a deal done.
Neither club is prepared to pay the price.
All I’m saying is that if Nas does request a trade to Port, be prepared that you’re not going to get adequate compensation. The system doesn’t allow you to.
If it really is about home sickness for Nas he really won’t want to play for West Coast where he knows nobody
Surely he realises this and the club realises that if no deal is struck he’ll be forced to choose us or go much further away
I know it’s probably a bit on the mean side but I’d rather see him at West Coast pissing away the next 2 years that accept Whitlock and a future first and watch the AFL media take the piss out of us
Not that simple. The only way he ends up at West Coast is if we can credibly say “we’d rather get nothing for our star player than get unders”.
I don’t think we can credibly say that. In the closing minutes of the trade period with no deal done yet, SOS will accept scraps rather than nothing. Then at least we get some sort of compensation for the terrible loss and can keep building the list.
Everyone knows that’s what would happen so we have no leg to stand on when we say “we’ll push him to the draft if we have to”. It never happens and won’t here.
We need to be willing to take nothing on order to get what he's worth.I'd rather us take nothing
We need to be willing to take nothing on order to get what he's worth.
Unsure but jeez we gonna enjoy seeing that thing replayed over and over and over again….the look on the Melb chefs face the end is priceless!!Slightly off topic, but when are they releasing the DVD of Sunday’s game?
