We have copped way worse many many times against the Hawks. We deserved things going our way.
Yep

Like Mitch Lewis taking advantage, kicking a point, after the Gunston free.

The advantage not called.

More like Collingwood, if they win we will get top 2
We need to demolish west coast and North particularly if we lose to Collingwood because Geelong can catch our percentage if they win by 80 the next 4 games, which they probably Will

Hawthorn played well. Im totally impressed with them.

But if literally a single umpiring complaint comes out of that fan base from tonight then GAGF.

FreeKickHawthorn was at fever pitch
The funny thing is they played way better tonight than the previous game in Tassie where they beat us.

Really though, aside from one unlucky call with Rankine's 50m, they had the rub if the green all night. There were a heap of 50/50 calls that went their way.

Curtin is starting to use his beast like frame to throw his weight around. Like Morpheus said about Neo, "he's starting to believe".

I've kept a close eye on him in the last 6 weeks. You can literally see his confidence growing week by week as he tries to push a new limit on what he can do. He's going to bust through a pack and kick a GOTY contender by the end of the season.

Well last time these 2 sides played, it was close as well. Umpires gave hawks the key moments in Tassie.

You cannot substitute anything for experience.

Tex Walker kicking those 2 final quarter goals was epic.

Both were good marks. Both of those set shot goals were from an angle. I knew he would slot them both.

Hawthorn (who I actually tipped) played better for the majority of the game. They got off to a flyer and came into town to win. They pressured us, they did all they could to put us off our game. It is a preview for what is to come next month, huge pressure moments.

Umpiring was terrible and we gave away I think 4 goals from frees. One of our weaknesses. But we even got a gift goal after they missed a touch call. There was a ton of pressure out there.

But despite those distractions and big pressure moments we grinded it out when it mattered. Walker who I think is in his best personal fitness all season kicked those 2 clutch goals under extraordinary pressure.

I never expected us to finish top 4 at the start of the season. Finals a chance, it is a certainty now even if we suffer 3 shock losses but I think we'll handle West Coast and North giving us 2nd or 3rd spot (it depends on how much Geelong wins their games by shall the teams finish with 17 wins each). If we upset Collingwood in 2 weeks, we finish 1st and probably play Gold Coast first up = how about that!

Best win of the season, period. We grinded this one out. It was very un Adelaide-like and often we'll just pack it in late in the game. Despite that mid quarter meltdown in the 4th I was proud of how the team regrouped. Keep this up and we have an exciting next few years ahead.

Best on ground: Dawson, Thilthorpe, O'Brien, Worrell, Curtin, Neal-Bullen, Rankine, Walker (in the 4th)

.... and to Ginnivan = thanks for that lovely finger.

Berry: 13 touches, 2 clearances, only 5 contested possessions, under 300m gained, 1 score involvement for the entire game and went at 53% DE. As a full time mid. That’s a big fat huge nope from me.

But yes, Peatling was blatantly worse. Not even close. I couldn’t believe what he dished up.
The absolute beauty of this is that when we are so even across the board, we can carry one or two.
