If you had to put $ on it and were asked if you thought before the game if we would ever be miles ahead in the game / that it wouldn’t be a super high pressure situation, then why would you pick a player that couldn’t handle it and just play WHE instead?I’m an Allan fan. But by Fly’s actions, it’s hard to not conclude that he didn’t think that Ed was capable of turning things in our favour in such a tight, contested arm-wrestle.
What alternative conclusion could you possibly draw from it?
The umpiring was a shit show...Exactly, had no intention of getting rid of ball, and an umpire is not giving a free kick in forward line, ( can’t give a free kick here, he would’ve said to himself) had it been at CHB, fair chance. They wear earpieces for a reason. To be frank, losing interest, umpiring determines the outcome of a lot of games, it was 16-5 after half time at one stage Fox put stat up on screen.
Btw…going against everything I’ve just said, I have a lot of confidence that if we meet them again we should be right in itSpot on.
Nicks would have walked away from that game supremely confident that the Crows have our measure. They’ve been the best team this season in free-flowing, high scoring games and now they’ve proven that they can win a gritty arm wrestle.
He’d be feeling very content over his weetbix this morning.

We also should have kicked some chaos ground balls into F50 instead of high bombs hoping for a miracle pack mark. And hopefully with more system going into our F50. We can start by hitting up the man just outside or on the F50, and then look to hit up another short target inside F50, and not bomb it long to 30m in front of goal or to the forward pocket...
If there's a genuine one on one inside F50 then bomb it long!!
I thought Houston was better than previous weeks. He still had the 18 disposals and had 5 score involvements plus kicking a goal himself. His efficiency with the ball was in the 80's....houston needs a lesson on hardwork from schultz. Schultz had a bad first season at Collingwood, he worked so hard to rectify that to the point that he is in our top 3 for hardest working players.
It would be bloody hard to kick them from outside 50 with a wet ball, but I agree with your point; new avenues to goal are needed.
They worked their butts off for no reward. Must improve i50 efficiency.
Playing the top side interstate and keeping them to 9 goals, but losing the
Yeah Lipinski I could do without in the team.Agree on Lipinski, in a game like that he was as useful as a hole in a bucket. We dropped WHE and we certainly DID NOT miss his hardness at the contest. Time for all the cleanskins to be shown the door.
This! This is what we are missing! We just need a little bit of pineapple on our pizza. Some sweetness to compliment the savory. A little bit of magic i50 to finish off the hard work. We just need some pineapple on our pizza. Quote of the year!I know what the problem is.
Everything will be ok if we just embrace pineapple on pizza and reject anyone who wont.
He had only 6 touches in the second half. Houston has this annoying habit of starting really strong and then fading away from the game , whilst also committing various defensive blunders .I thought Houston was better than previous weeks. He still had the 18 disposals and had 5 score involvements plus kicking a goal himself. His efficiency with the ball was in the 80's....
I think Nicks would be full of praise for his defenders, but ultimately saying **** we got lucky.Spot on.

I haven’t kicked himCome on, mate. Don't kick a bloke when he's down.
Lipinski was having a good season, but the last 5 weeks its been frustrating watching him.Agree on Lipinski, in a game like that he was as useful as a hole in a bucket. We dropped WHE and we certainly DID NOT miss his hardness at the contest. Time for all the cleanskins to be shown the door.
Yep such a fine line. Finish 4th and we have as good a chance as anyone. Miss top 4 and we will be heavily favoured to go out first week.Sadly, correct. If we don't pinch fourth, I think it's over red rover.
And the Storm are continuing in the NRL to hopefully another GF spot. Currently sitting 2nd, and tying up another top 2 finish...Well the Wallabies won in South Africa!!
Thought I’d mention this as there were a couple of rugby passes last night !!
Not a bad optionWe also should have kicked some chaos ground balls into F50 instead of high bombs hoping for a miracle pack mark.
F50 ground balls make defenders very nervous. There’s always a chance of a high contact or in the back free kick when the ball is on the ground close to goal. Our long bombs were too predictable and too easy to counter.
Did anyone think that the rain sort of turned the game against us?
It seemed to crush our style and made us play territory footy which just suited them.
But he’s also so important when it’s dry and we’re up and runningYeah Lipinski I could do without in the team.
About as reliable as a Temu watch.
Yeah for me I prefer guys that don’t disappear when it gets willing. But he’s also so important when it’s dry and we’re up and running
I’d only replace him w Steele at this stage
He basically played 100% in the forward half in the second half, and it became a scrappy slug fest in the 3rd and 4th quarters where no side was able to get real clean possession of the ball....He had only 6 touches in the second half. Houston has this annoying habit of starting really strong and then fading away from the game , whilst also committing various defensive blunders .
Who would you have subbed him in for and why?
Allan is about territory where we were dominant. We needed a bloke who could take a mark up forward or a weasel small forward who could draw a high contact free.
