Soligo's was graded high contact, but Xerri was never taken off to be assessed and the angle we've seen didn't clearly show his head hitting the ground.

If there is another angle that shows the head hitting the ground, wouldn't the North medicos have had access to this in the moment, why didn't they bring him off? Was there no angle that showed this?

Looks good, but Pedlar for Dowling with Rankine out I think. I love Dowling but he got torched by Stephens yesterday really and we need someone who can actually contribute as a small forward and even some midfield minutes.

Notes:
1) With Michalanney back, there just isn’t a spot for Bond (made easier for the selectors by Bond playing a shocker against North), and in addition to this, there’s no spot for Smith in the starting 22 (he’s an 8th defender). Smith either stays in as sub, or is dropped altogether.

2) if Rachele is fit, the team pretty much picks itself. If he’s not fit, the only players deserving of serious consideration for mine are Nank and Pedlar. Nank gets the nod for me because he can play at half forward or a wing (or half back if something happens to one of our defenders), and has genuine agility and skill. Please don’t go back to Jones, Murphy or Schoenberg. Draper failed his audition.

3) the wildcard is Pedlar. Personally I think he’s overrated but I will admit, his game style likely appeals to the coaching staff for a finals clash. Realistically, if he’s fit, he’s probably more likely to be selected than Nankervis. I just prefer players with higher footy IQ and in the absence of Rankine (and Rachele in this scenario), we need creators more than bulls.

4) The only other realistic possibility that the selectors MIGHT consider is playing Michalanney in the forward line, tagging someone like a Josh Daicos

Think I’d rather Hawks and then Geelong lose to Collingwood. Geelong then defeat Brisbane.

We defeat Hawks and play Geelong in a Preliminary Final before play Collingwood.

We go onto win the flag and defeat all 3 Vic teams to stick it right up the AFL.
