  • Darcy Wilson: Saints would have to do a Geelong and buy him a Cotton on Store or Farm as they have no cap space left.
  • Noah Answerth: Don't really know much about him tbh
  • Zac Bailey : No chance in hell
  • Josh Weddle : BFNAAK? Best 22 at Hawthorn, would be crazy to take a gamble on us.
  • Jack Whitlock : Most likely, as I'm sure he'd be more than open to returning to Vic to play with his brother, and because F*** Port.
  • Jordan Croft. : Father Son, unlikely.
I would be amazed if he doesn't sigh on again for Port.

As someone said in a previous post here that Saints are essentially putting out offers, when if they get a yes from one or two they’ll withdraw the rest, we should be doing the same - especially since a yes for Saints means they probably entertain an offer for players.

Just my opinion but we should be doing it with these players:
Windhager, Wilson, Flanders, Starcevich, Budarick, Davies, Butts, Lever (yes just my opinion, ya’ll can hate me for it haha) and Wilkie (so Saints up his contract most likely). I’m probably forgetting a couple since I wrote this in a rush. Even players like Whitlock from Port.

Draft picks are great and can work out, but we have our young core group so we need players for the now and that can serve into the future (like the first three listed). Going for GC’s pick 6 is a big, big mistake imo.

I agree.

Since any deal for pick 6 would require trading out of next year's better draft for this year's, Twomey's comment left me wondering what we could possibly want pick 6 for.

Surely not for another midfielder. At a pinch - Aidan Schubert, maybe?

It’s hard to imagine any contracted trade targets worth a top 10 pick are coming our way this off-season.
Not worth a top 10 pick to any other team, but to Brady on the other hand…

I'm sure we are looking at everyone available.

Did Cooper Trembath's recruitment have Liam Shiels fingerprint's all over it ?

Was having a chat with David Swallow’s old man over the weekend. He reckons Dave would be open to finishing up his career at North.
Continuing the tradition of getting on the board and then having a relative recruited?

Andrew Swallow - David
Anthony Stevens - River
Glenn Archer - Jackson

Shame Ben Buckley and the Brayshaws couldn't pitch in....

reading reports we are looking at trading up in the draft by giving suns 2 lower picks, if this happens it further makes the actions of last draft shiten housen
Maybe it was our failsafe? We always knew we could be a good chance to trade back into the first round at pick we would have roughly had via ladder position anyhow with two second rounders? Plus now we have a KPP we valued around pick 12 with a years worth of development and two games of experience.
