Extraordinary first half from Blicavs, has to have been almost best on. Atkins a sensational game, especially compared to the mare he had in the prelim last year. Thought Bowes was excellent at the start of the last and did good things all night. Just a solid performance across the lines, all we need is better kicking.

Which makes him the third best mid in a side that only has 3 mids.

You're still missing the point.

Blitz acknowledged him, Scott acknowledged him.....his teammates and coach rate him highly, as do I.

He has grit, and the respect of his teammates.

He isn't the best, but he has as much heart as anyone you care to name.

That's not to be sneezed at.

Fair play to Fagan - no excuses, Cats were better than us.

Also called out the crowd for being vocal and one-sided, which is good to see. Not always our strongest suit to be a bunch of highly vocal supporters, especially at the G.

He is making some excuses in his press conference

Incredible season; winning a Final against the reigning Premiers is a great feather in our cap and we ain't done yet.

Shaun Mannagh's willingness to take the game on, at the expense of occasionally looking a tit, was a great encapsulation of the 2025 Ford Model Geelong Cats; he was terrific despite the occasionally clanger.

Tom Atkins, Bailey Smith and Max Holmes makes for a thin midfield on paper, but this team is augmented with some of the best role players the club has ever fielded. Gryan Miers is one of the Great non-Centre square mids of the modern era; Ollie Dempsey's running capacity allows him all manner of outrageous liberties.

Our backline was resolved and unflappable. Jack Henry's reputation as a big game player is well and truly cemented at this point; he showed yet again this evening just how disciplined and brilliant he is.

Connor O'Sullivan's 1st final was exceptional; 10 disposals and 3 marks doesn't reflect his ability to stand up and be counted in the big moments.

Mark Blicavs was generally beaten in the ruck duels opposed to former Cat Darcy Fort, but his work in the contest and around the ground was diligent and well executed.

A well-earned week's break; couldn't be happier.

Atkins is one of the most under-rated players in the comp outside of Cats supporters (and even, apparently, BY some Cats supporters).

Dempsey absolutely sensational. So much of the win has come from such a wide team effort other than the obvious Danger or another mid trying to hold us together.

Thought Mannagh was exceptional at times.

Just started the replay……

To be fair they have some major structural issues he can't fix. Both fort and mac are cooked they have no ruck swap options.
They can't drop day because of the aforementioned ruck issue. Gallop isn't ready.
Cameron is in a slump and mentally soft.
They are missing payne badly because apart from Andrews most of their defenders can't win contests.
And they have a number of players playing banged up like neale.
We got them at a good time but that said our pressure was elite.

So many taking potshots at our Irish boys mid season. Where are they now?

Where are the “happy clappers” now?

Hopefully that’s a lesson to back our boys in
Can we bloody stop sniping each other? We've just had one of the great wins in front of the most raucous Geelong crowd in memory ... and we're playing games of "I told you so"? F*** that.
