Like a lot of people on this forum I am concerned about Heidelbergs ability to be competitive in DIV1 if their money dries up in 3 or 4 years. Fortunately there is some promising signs as the Heidelberg under 19's just won their final by a lazy 10 goals to proceed to the Grand final in 2 weeks time.
With a little luck they may get an injection of some good young talent and find away to remain competitive in the future.

Give me a spell, not one person is concerned about Heidelberg’s plight. Poor Heidelberg won a 2nd semi by 100 and will win 4 in a row. They have won a world record numbers of premierships, they must be sitting around the club tonight pondering where they went wrong.
With the people in charge, they could win 100 in a row. Good Luck to them!!

Div 1 has become a bit of a meh league, I reckon 99% of watchers could have predicted flag winner and relegation , got the finalists right and the predictability has seen interest is going to an all time low……then you get a final series at Epping.

Only interest might be trying to predict who Hurstbridge try to take out tomorrow.

Agreed, was a very entertaining match that actually seemed to be contested. How many seniors did Eltham manage to qualify throughout the year to play in that match?? Likewise, how many did Heidelberg have in there as well?

Having 1s, 2s and 19s basically means they can play qualified guys in any team.

Looking at their 2s, plenty of guys with a lot of senior experience in there

The exact reverse of their last finals series at Epping so far. Good on them, I agree they are a live chance next Sunday.

Well yes absolutely. Contrast of colours is important for the best viewing experience.

Hurstbridge didn't wear white at home vs Heidelberg (only in the 19's)

I think considering Hurstbridge have come from Div 3 in the early 2010s, almost went back in 2014 and are now one game away from a Division 1 grand final I think they would be content playing in a garbage bag tbh all things considered from their journey
