all the hand-wringing and "it's not something to laugh about" is kind of pathetic. he lost his debate with the bullet, we'll all move on with our lives. at the end of the day, he was a truly wretched person who'd happily see those people who disagree with him suffer the same fate that he has.

He did not support the 2nd amendment as a means to kill political rivals or people you disagree with.

Yes he did. The right always claims the 2nd Amendment is necessary to defend the population from tyrannical Government. The only logical outcome is that the guns are to shoot politicians and officers working for a tyrannical Government. How else would you use a gun against a tyrannical Government?

I don't agree with them, don't agree with the shooting, and don't celebrate it. But the Right would if it was a left-wing commentator.
