During the week I listed a dozen players that were either unreliable week to week or seemed not designed for finals. I was told that it might be too early. It’s not, our club was only ever going to get us to compete around the bottom half of the 8 mark. We don’t have the hard edge required to be better. Our philosophies are predicated upon soft underbelly.

That said, Neil Balme is here and hopefully he pulls it apart and rebuilds from scratch.

Nix must be the first to go. If he’s not, we’re going nowhere fast.

ANB’s previous finals experience came in handy

I never really saw or knew of him at Melbourne. Was he actually any good there? I'm sure off field he's been a great addition and the way he speaks is very mature and I'm sure helped us throughout the season, but on field his trump cards seem to be: taking possession and getting tackled immediately, getting tackled with plenty of prior, and overcooking kicks.

If I'm one of the players, particularly those who've signed on for the extreme long term, then I'm taking a look at where various Crows players from 2016/2017 were in their various careers at the time, and noting the ones that never got/weren't allowed another realistic shot at a premiership. (Also the fate of those who left.)

for a club that loves to bang on about fitness, we certainly look unfit when the ball hits the ground.

we were always gonna live and die by the three talls. when it mattered it failed, and if one of the 3 couldnt mark it there was nothing down there. the club cannot offer tex another deal, this is the time to move on and restructure the forward line.

When you're tactically beaten you're going to look unfit.
