Happy we had a crack at a big name but as we know drawing a non-South Australian to Adelaide is always an up hill battle.
We have been very active in the last few trade weeks and Silvers has reiterated that again throughout the year.
No doubt there are other things being worked out, or at least I hope.

The club has publicly identified a gap in the midfield, less classy options than Petracca are out there, that will cost a lot less but would still improve us.

Trade period hasn't even begun yet, so lets not lose our minds yet.

The club said a week ago it wasnt going to sell the farm for Petracca. So perhaps the club felt the demons were going to be unreasonable and it would damage our other plans. He is 30! not a great loss tbh.

Not a great loss?

Come on dude. Yeah he's 30, he probably only has a few years of football left and he's not worth three first round picks. But he would have been massive for our premiership window

If Twomey got it, it maybe coming from Petracca or Melbourne not us. It is logical to assume that the club asked petracca to hold his decision making until they had a chance to speak to Melbourne over trade expectations.
