Sounds like it could get ugly. The Chairman / Commitee haVe a big job ahead of them now. Good to see they are announcing plenty of committed players for 2026 . Mostly Reserves need a lot more than that.

Heidelberg have an extra 7 points to play with next year from the GF, it's their 150th anniversary, and going for 5 in a row. I reckon they may be hard to beat, but if Hurstbridge have found a pot of gold good luck to them. At the end of the day they were 15 goals off the Premiers and drew and got beat by the 6th team. They are a long long way off.

On the salary cap why cant premiers in all comps across the state be audited each season along with some random clubs.Wont stop but might limit the extra spending and $125 k is to low.$500 a game for a solid Div 1 player over 18 games means u could pay 14 players only as a very general example yes lots get more some less

All premiership-winning clubs statewide are supposed to be audited and most leagues check the books of the runners-up as well. But if the excess cash is off the books, there is no case to answer ... unless someone goes to the league or AFL Vic and dobs the club in, which according to the article, is what allegedly happened here.

More of a depth player as didn’t get in best once in 17 games. Who else has left? They favourites to go down?
Diamo have a strong program with 19s and 17s in Div 1 GF and 2s Playing off as well..
Eltham have solid depth as twos made GF, 19s finished second.

Spoke to several clubs, cxld a couple of others - great pick up for Hursty.

Played very well against us in final and also Stars (first final). Very good player with a bright future and will be interesting to see how he goes when playing Div 1 games. Good luck to the young fella.
