Nothing to do with money apparently. Richmond said they won’t put him on their AFL list. His last chance at trying to get picked up was another club. I’d say he plays another year or 2 and if nothing eventuates then he goes back to playing local full time and will demand a huge pay cheque.
Port can pay more per game though. AFL Affiliated clubs pay sweet FA for vfl wages, turn over millions in profit to then ask volunteers to do the dirty work for them. Werribbee, Port M and Williamstown are very well off
Good luck to him though I agree with the move too
They should all be spending $220k shouldn’t they? Surely VFL clubs aren’t paying under the tableBank account wise, Werribee makes Port and Willy look like the homeless. Werribee are the 2nd wealthiest in the VFL behind Southport...the rest are a long way away.

How many of them are actually senior players? For example the Watsonia blokes are 19sJust reading the NFNL ins and outs from the Herald Sun website. Geez there is some serious movement at Banyule. I know its been discussed a bit here and that a few are 19s or Magoos but some serious talent moving on and this does not include the few retirements that I hear have happened.

I read Jean-Luc Velissaris has been appointed a playing development coach at North Melbourne VFL.No - full time Banyule.
Unfortunately we have lost some quality players and we do have points to work with.
We still have 18 1 pointers who played senior football this year and have 14 1 pointers up from the 19s.
We are obviously having a reset and besides the boys from VFL are recruiting a lot of youth to set us up for the next 3-4 years.
We will have issues with points during the season (something we haven’t had before), however, a lot of clubs are going through the same issue with changeover of personal and high points. Bundoora have recruited - 3 4s and a 2 3s and they played on 46 most weeks
Cheers, so lost 8 and bought in 5… not ideal but not as bad as it’s made out to me. Unfortunately not unusual for fringe players to be taken from D1 clubs either.Seniors

Whose retired?Plus the retirements, which were at least three from their best 25 or so, including Martin who was a mainstay in the ruck.

Sam Lloyd coaches them and Hamish Sheperd plays there aswell.Jesse, well he's joining Lloyd then supposedly.
More to come!!West Preston Vice captain off to Old Paradians. Would have to be 10+ senior players departing now.
Without an Under 19s team in 2025 either, they will be up against it big time in 2026.
