It's like we both can't all be happy with our own talls without turning it into a dick measuring contest lol.

There bigs, and they are all going to develop at different rates, and can't be judged either way after one season of senior footy.

Whitlocks stats would be worse than Faull and Armstrongs for the simple fact that he was 3rd in line behind Larkey and Zurhaar in the forward 50. Faull and Armstrong were mostly 1 and 2 targets for most of there year.

Well in whitlocks case he played 2.5 qrts forward and neither larkey or Zuhaar were present.

Trembath and Curtis were the main men. Whitlock looked well out of his depth with Tyler young pushing him around. To the same degree, Armstrong looked completely out of his depth. None of that is surprising for 18-19 year old key position forwards.

As you say, mostly that get better as they get bigger. Whitlock has the most ground to make up body wise

Stop trying to turn this dick-measuring contest into a nuanced discussion of how there are contextual limits that should deter us from making sweeping generalisations about first years KPPs. Sheesh.

Oh, I forgot he was talking about McKercher.

That's even worse.

Swings and round abouts I guess

Kerch got 26 coaches votes throughout the year. Basically all coming in the second half of the year when moved back. 9 against the eagles.

Based on Baker romping it for the most for the eagles (18 votes) i can only assume Kerch would have won the eagles best and fairest by the length of the Flemington straight

Infact 3 north youngsters topped any eagle

Kerch 26 votes
Sheez 25 votes
Powell 19 votes

Generational Harley Reid had 9 and one of the best defenders in the comp Ginbey had 1

You're always going to get more coaches' votes when you win more games, it's as simple as that.

Doesn't affect BnF voting though, because they don't vote for oppo players.

Yeah it really didn’t take me long to tally the eagles coaches votes

I think Shueygod might even be alarmed

When you see WC fans flying the flag for the Tiger's, you just know the North fan/s must be some kind of peanut.

might as well put this here

The final trade between north and tigers ended up

Matt Whitlock + Blake Thergold*

For

Sam Grlj**

* technically the tigers picked went to Carlton to upgrade into Dovastan but for comparisons sake I think using the thergold pick is appropriate

** obviously north may have selected a different player

No one knows how the players will develop but north have been criticised for not taking key position players and this trade got us two

Plus, the trade allowed us to take FOS at 2 and not split and personally (rose coloured glasses) I wouldn’t trade FOS for any player in either the 2024 or 2025 drafts
Sam Grjl** AND the 38th player on the Richmond list (Noah Roberts-Thomson), as by trading out two draft pics for one it freed up another spot on the Richmond playing list, essentially allowing the drafting of NRT when it otherwise wouldn’t have been possible.

Up until not long ago Richmond was a basket case and their fans were spitting on their own players as they walked off.

A purple patch and three flags and all that is forgotten.

Time will tell if Richmond can rebuild faster than North or the Eagles. It certainly isn't a given as many Richmond posters are alluding to.
Jesus you saying we have to wait another 6-7 years

North have been rebuilding since 2018 and eagles 2020
We should be done by 2028 ( 4 years )

I'll miss it and some of you Tiges. I'll pop in occasionally to see how you're going.

You'll be right though, seriously, being strong and bold and all that and from

That picture would look so much better with the Dynasty premiership cups on top of the building
Can you add that ?

Mckercher played every game though.
Voting for him doesn't justify trading for CD. You can't judge us like a public company, we're not.

As a neutral this is one of the more ******ed takes ive seen in this thread. Nobody around the league other than the worst norf nuffs is taking McKercher over Reid
So '97 makes you 28?

JFC

"Most people" lol, are they the same people that believe there's a dude who lives in the clouds that cares about them?

Serious question.

We finished fifth and played finals in 2020. 2021 we finished 9th missing the 8 by 1 win. 2022 we collapsed with injuries and the rebuild started that offseason.
