Fair but money isnt a guarantee. Look at all the money put into Aston Martin and Racing Point by Lawrence, yet they're no better than Force India used to be, or Ferrari with their endless pockets for that matter. Vowles using his Mercedes knowlegde brilliantlyWould argue that Dorilton Capital are.

I'd say Lawrence Stroll has the same(ish) problem Claire Williams had with the feelings of a close family member bogging down their business decisions.Fair but money isnt a guarantee. Why is Oscar not driving P1?
Like am I just going to have a ****ing meltdown half way through P1 or wat?
Oward is in the car because these sessions are pre arranged
Wasn't refering to money but more the decisions they made.Fair but money isnt a guarantee. They do that earlier in the season... in Miami.Might as well have them race in a car park. But yeah ££€€$$
Been to the Abu Dhabi one and yeah, you can only drink alcohol in specific "pens" for want of a better word. My best mate was also trying to keep his wife warm (ok it's not cold but they'd been living there for ages so it was cold for them) and they told him to stop. Their country, their culture, their rules... no problems with that, but it doesn't provide a great atmosphere. The Middle East circuits are as boring as batshit in terms of atmosphere and crowd engagement and the absolutely worst tracks to settle a tight drivers championship where imo the crowd engagement makes the race.
Compare this to the atmosphere in Suzuka and Adelaide where classic races were decided in the 80s and 90s.

The stands are so far away from the track apart from the straight. Acres of painted asphalt. The optics are horrible and I can’t imagine wanting to go there unless I was gifted a paddock pass.Been to the Abu Dhabi one and yeah, you can only drink alcohol in specific "pens" for want of a better word. Also shows you how long ago it was... Gasly was winning the GP2 title.
We sat on the hill after the first turn. Bit soulless. The stands are so far away from the track apart from the straight. Acres of painted asphalt. The optics are horrible and I can’t imagine wanting to go there unless I was gifted a paddock pass.
And there it is....complete opposite of what they've been saying
I’m reminded of the ‘xxxxxxx car park’ comment that Alan Jones made in a post race interview after the 1981 Las Vegas GP.They do that earlier in the season... in Miami.

Old mate Jonesy was spot on of course. That race was held in the car park of the old Caesers Palace with traffic cones on the corners.
Worth checking out the video of the highlights of that race with Clive James commenting if you can find it. Is hilarious. In fact all of the Clive James F1 highlight vids from that era are worth watching just for James’ sarcastic brilliance

Interlagos used to be the last race of the yearThe Middle East circuits are as boring as batshit in terms of atmosphere and crowd engagement and the absolutely worst tracks to settle a tight drivers championship where imo the crowd engagement makes the race.
