No one has poked fun at Port for naming dual captains, they've just had a swipe at some of their campaigner supporters who were having shots at out club when we announced Tex and Sloane as captains. Some also brought to light Port's so called ageless traditions.
Apparently we got it wrong because someone called it a masterstroke, whereas they haven't
Little brothers are so annoying

I don’t know why they don’t just rip the No 1 Guernsey in half

Make you laugh when you hear them talking about #1 being a tradition When most of there supporters do not even know how it came about.
Jack Cahill Started the so-called Tradition in 1967, there were over 50 different senior team Captains before that with different numbers, and so far to date, there have been only 11 Port Adelaide Football club senior team Capt that have worn the number 1 Jumper.
They are so full of crap I bet they all call for the Club to wear there Prison Bar Jumper for there 150 years in April 2020, rather than the Blue White and Pink, they wore back then.

Gavin Wanganeen didnt even want to wear the #1 jumper. I wonder if he would have captained them for longer if he was able to captain them in #4.

Perhaps they could ask the AFL to have a #01 jumper to go with the #1... or #1J & #1W lol.

They keep going on about traditions, but the Power have broken many of the old Magpie traditions & they are different clubs in different environments.

$10 per win makes it easy since they only need eight wins, $5 would make things much more interesting.

That said the potential for laughs if they don't reach those eight wins is enormous.
only 6 wins, $19 base fee then $60 to get to the cap

But how good is Ports 150 year old tradition of singing a soccer song before the game while holding a scarf above their head!! And calling themselves the powers!! It’s all about tradition down there.

I actually believe our song that we sing after most Port games has more relevance.:drunk:

Ok surely that has to be a Crows BF poster that did that. Priceless.
Won’t play for me. “Video unavailable “
It says. What’s the search term on YouTube?

Great article on salary cap breaches. Have a read.

Thanks I managed to find our elusive "third" flag out of that article.

However, the fans of the 1993 losing grand finalist, Carlton cannot be crying foul as they too were comfortably over the cap in 1993 by $85,000. So, with the top two teams in breach of the salary cap, perhaps third ranked Adelaide are the legitimate premiers if we’re looking at things fairly? It seems greater forces were at play, and they cost them an opportunity to hold the cup aloft four years earlier than they eventually did.

So I guess we’re level with the Eagles if we * their 2006 flag.

Struggling to sell out the Koolaid Konvention this year.

Hahaha

They would sell more tickets if they made Janus the keynote speaker!!! That would be interesting :drunk:

Do they have any kool aid left after last years convention? Remember how they were talking with all of the catchphrases of religious extremists, how did that scoring runway workout for them?;)
I’d go if Janus was the speaker

Would be almost as funny as the real speakers

Would LOVE to hear their explanation of 7/1 loss in the back end of the year
It’d be hilarious if some of the angry port flogs went !
