Embattled Port Adelaide player Jack Watts is said to have recovered and improved after suffering from separate accounts of being embarrassed via social media.

If Gupta fails there are bigger issues in SA than Port getting the cash they are owed. What he is doing is saving Whyalla and keeping some form of manufacturing in our state as well as providing some innovation in the Energy Industry. Our State needs more people of his ilk to invest here.

The port thread on their second sponsor is interesting reading, they are 100% convinced that the story about Gupta not paying local contractors is a crows fabricated conspiracy, with not a single sane voice among them.
They think the AFC runs channel 7 but on the same page they talk about the timing of the story by channel 7 they post a link to channel 7 doing a negative story about Optus on the day they are announced as a sponsor of us. They've justified this cognitive dissonance because the gupta story mentioned a potential sponsorship announcement on the weekend but the optus story doesn't mention the AFC.
It couldn't possibly be that the story about optus being fined $10m is a national story so channel 7 adelaide read out the script that all channel 7 local news around australia were given, while the story about Gupta is a South Australian story that will only run in South Australia so requires a local channel 7 journo to write the story.

They must think our president is a senior personality at channel 7 who has co-hosted their breakfast show for 17 years with the amount of inside power they think we have at that station.

I will still poke fun at how long it has taken KT to fill that key sponsorship spot and no doubt there is some of assistance from the Government as part of the package to entice Gupta to invest here. I personally think KT is a mediocre CEO, great guy trying his best, but out of his depth if you guys want to grow.

But hearing that C7 are basically trolling you guys through a possible.failure of what Gupta is doing is disappointing for a news agency based in this state.

To call it trolling is saying a good news agency would not run the story because a football club wouldn't like it, which is the opposite of what a good news agency should do.

Well I think it's quite relevant to report regardless of the parties involved.

Company X is rumoured to come on board as a major sponsor of Team B. Concerns over Company X's use of funds given they are causing cashflow issues for local small business by enforcing long trading terms, plus Team B has a history of bringing on sponsors with question marks over their financial operations etc

Seems like a legit link. Like others I'm happy to bash little brother but I genuinely hope Gupta is ok for the sake of our state economy.

Wouldn't expect any less re the Port v Crows ribbing but as you mentioned its the bigger picture here thats most important. Local channel 7 should really not be getting offside with Gupta without knowing whats going on behind the scenes. I work for Liberty and talk to contractors all the time. The media have less than half a story and decided to milk it as usual.
