The Australian Greens - What are they Doing?

an opinion piece. another highly regarded source NOT!
What a dumb reply. What do we trust then?

Where do you glean your information from?

It was an essay.

Have you heard of "essays"? Some of the greatest thinkers the world has known have conveyed profound, world-changing truths through essays.

This may not be one of them, but your dismissal of it out of hand suggests you're not even interested in the exchange of ideas, just barracking.

It was a well argued essay, drawing on established facts, then making connections that people might not have thought of, to draw conclusions that better inform us. Obviously a level or two above you. Keep striving and maybe one day you'll be equipped to read the piece and intelligently criticise it.

lol seems you dismiss anything which doesnt support your pisition immediately. furthermire your attacking all posters who disagree and/ or post alternative points to you
LOL!

i can safely say that if i put together a referenced piece with wikipeida sources at uni i would have been criticised for doing that

Really, all you had to do is google the content from wikipedia.
In 2010, the ABC's Media Watch presenter Paul Barry accused The Australian of waging a campaign against the Australian Greens.

what relevance does this have ?
Your out of your depth here mate ,if you don't want to post anything relevent to the discussion go thmo another thread, anyone can give troll responses.

The Age reports that Alex Bhathal has quit the party in Victoria along with one third of the party's members in Victoria in the last 21 months. Ms Bhathal claimed that she was subjected to relentless organisational bullying within the Victorian branch.

After the election there will be a Leadership change....Larrisa Waters
The main focus (but not the only focus) will then shift back to exposing ALL of those oposed to the science on Climate Change

You scoffed at Wikipedia, remember?
yea and what you posted isnt factual journalism it is an opinion piece. hardly credible to support the point that the aus isnt a real newspaper or whatever was said.

No, what I posted was Media Watch which confirmed what was linked in Wikipedia. Stop walking backwards.
Nothing to do with opinion piece as it also showed part of what was in the The Australian!

Has this pissant party achieved anything besides smoking bongs and chaining themselves to front end loaders.
Greens called for a RC into child abuse for seven long years before Gillard finally did the decent thing. How many more lives might have been saved if the major parties had got off their arses and done something about it rather than ridicule the Greens’ call?

PS 97% of voters approved of the RC. The most popular piece of government policy, by a country mile, since WWII.

So how about you start judging the Greens policies on their merits, instead of parroting lazy stereotypes?

If that's the case, it was a good call from the Greens

Flip side is they have had some bizarre policies over the years

I'm not a Greens barracker. But I do get irritated at the unintelligent and plain wrong sterotyping of them that I see. Suggests to me that they're doing at least some things just right.

I don't think conservatives comprehend when you take something from this country you give back. With them it's all just take take take.

That's parasitic to everyone else at best. Why would anyone allow it other than a bought politician?

They are to busy harassing farmers for providing meat claiming cruelty to innocent animals, yet want abortion to be legal!

Muppets of the highest order!

Any one who votes for the greens is brainwashed and unintelligent!

Hence why they try and capture their voter base at a young age when people are at impressionable & finding their way!

Then most people grow out of that fase and wake up to the real world and vote for any other party

Hence how they are attempting to shove socialism or communism down our throats!

You don't consistently get 10% of the primary vote by being nothing but a bunch of tree hugger communists, or whatever stereotype you wish.

However, there is a real problem with properly marketing themselves to the non-Greens voters as a viable alternative government and therefore I think that, barring the odd election where there is massive disaffection with the big major parties, that their vote will remain in the low tens. The catch-22 being that the more they drift to the centre to catch the swinging voter, the more their 'rusted on' base deserts them for other left wing alternatives.

I am not ashamed to admit I vote Greens regularly and it will be interesting to see where they go from here - they might be content to remain at their current popularity levels, lest they compromise what they stand for and go the way of the Australian Democrats.

The sooner the schools start you kids back on a decent homework load, the better.
Starting with basic grammar, punctuation and spelling.
And graduating after that to the fundamentals of logical thinking.

I get the feeling someone was awfully close to misquoting Churchill.

I like how you gave us the choice of socialism or communism.
