There may have been, but he was still great. It was only his 3rd game of footy.Yep, still only 20 and only played two games before.
There was better though.
if anything that should help baileyScott had a good game, but no chance of a nomination in a 13 goal smashing
Constable or Drew will get it, although there are a few worthy players

He butchered at least half his possessions, as did WalshThere may have been, but he was still great. It was only his 3rd game of footy.
Setterfield: 24 dsp, 8 contested, 14 kicks, 10 handballs.
Not saying he will win the nomination, but definitely not out of the picture.
Also went at 50% though. That's what hurts his chances. He'll get one, I think but maybe not this week. There may have been, but he was still great. It was only his 3rd game of footy.

Lol it's an individual award and you're talking about a teams result. He can't control how 21 other players perform. Thats nonsense.Lol it would be a farce if Bailey Scott got it when his mob got demolished close to 100 points.
I'd give it to Butters personally, Walsh will end up winning the award by a landslide anyway, so it doesn't matter if he doesn't get the gong this week.
I wouldn't say they butcher it. Some were ineffective, but it was the style of game. Both still did terrific works. Earned the footy. Weaved, evaded and set up play.He butchered at least half his possessions, as did Walsh

Name me the last time a player got a nomination from an 80 point plus point flogging ? It very, very rarely happens. Scott will get one sooner rather than later, anyhow there has been too many other good performances this round to give it to Bailey, but then again, the selections often are like a MRP Chook Lotto, often they would make really baffling nominations
Walsh. Lokusius. Rozee. Smith. Jones. Blakey. Butters. Clark. Duursma. Sparrow. Scott. Parker. Schultz.... what a start for 2018 draft class. Still have the King twins, Rankine, Thomas, Caldwell and Quaynor to play...the 2018 draft will end up being the best of all time. Never thought 2001 would be beaten. This crop will be a joy to watch over the next decade.
Bailey Scott deserves it- 20 disposals @ 90% and 2 goals. He was his team’s best player today. Walsh will probably get it because of his hype

Farce it is then.

Good for you, he ain't got a flying snowflakes chance in hell in winning it anyway at the end of the season but yeah, YAY for North !!!![]()
Are people just saying Walsh because of the media hype around him more so than deserving it?
Scott, Drew, Butters and Constable all had better games than him.
Considering he averaged 21 touches and a goal a game at 90% in the JLT and followed it up this week, it might be Walsh that needs to up his game at this rate....but gee, don’t get too paranoid will you...
lol don’t bother trying, he’s obviously feeling hurt that they chose Scott over his manConsidering he averaged 21 touches and a goal a game at 90% in the JLT and followed it up this week, it might be Walsh that needs to up his game at this rate....but gee, don’t get too paranoid will you...
FYI I never said I thought Walsh deserved to get it this week. And I stand by comment that Scott is no chance of winning the award (although it is probably silly discussing it after only one round)
Good on him for being the only player that actually bothered trying on the weekend for North, I'd be much worried about the output of your other players tbh, that was one of the most disgusting and piss weak round 1 performances I have seen from any club in years (aside from the expansion club debuts)
If you're pumping up Bailey Scott this much already, sounds to me like North have not much else to be excited about this season.
