The Campbell pic is interesting......drop a forward and replace with a ruck...so is the intent to run Martin off his feet or rest a ruck up forward to divert height from Brown.....the lions will be in panic mode at the moment.

It’s gotta be as a Forward/ruck. I doubt after all these years Brad has decided to go with 2 ruck combo. Especially considering we traded McIntosh, Preuss and tried to turn Majak into a forward then back. Goldy will still ruck most of the game imo

Brown and Ziebs will have to kick 10 between them as we drop off pretty quickly after that. I would have persisted with Wood or played Larkey. Sending Wood back to the magoos after 1 game?? not sure

I’m at the stage already where this is a win regardless of result

Yep.....im not a huge fan of Sunday games...especially when there are Thursday night games being played.....it feels like it takes a week for a round to be played

No need to apologise. I’m sure the players that played last week and will be playing again this week will be giving everything to set a standard. If they don’t then I think we have real problems.....like looking for a new coach type problems.

Though, the players under Brad have always bounced back after a bad loss and I don’t think this will be any different. I’d be very surprised if he’s lost the group. Say what you want about Brads tactics on game day, he’s someone people want to play for. He’s always got their back.

Ahern does not fit Scotts view of what a player should be. He is too skillful, and creative, and he probably has strong views and opinions. To thrive under Scotts you need to be "a good person" and you need to listen and be a robot, being a good footballer is not important. If you have these qualities you are a candidate to be on Scotts favorites list.

The inside word is that Ahern won't get a game until he has saved up his deposit for his first home.

agree on both counts. Thought Ahern was ahead of a few others in the lead up to round 1....had a pretty solid JLT series ...cant work that one out,,

Brown has never looked like a ruckman...looks to fragile for mine.......Hopefully Campbell can plug whatever gap that couldnt be filled by Preuss

It's not the one bad game, it's the complete lack of a response. I've watched bad games before. Never have I seen such a complete failure to make a statement with the team selection. He's backing in the side that just served up one of the most insipid performances I've seen from a North Melbourne outfit, and not even paying lip service to the idea that real changes will have to be made.

Yeah some of the coaches wanted Thomas in as they did with Ahern. Brad has final say- I do hope that TT gets a game our current fwd line is shit house.
