Apparently in 53 days of playing, Joe has never voted for the person who has gone home. That is a crazy stat.

Stat is a bit misleading, since he presumably would have voted for Fishbach in Cambodia, but had his vote stolen.

Also, when we talk about challenge win records, surely Joe has the best individual immunity win % (he would have the individual total record, but essentially gets voted out as soon as he is not immune).

That's only taking into account 6 Tribals from one season though, all post-merge in Second Chance. Also of those 6 - one he didn't get to vote due to the vote steal and two where idols were played on his target. He never went to tribal pre-merge that season and has repeated that this season. So 3 tribals where he voted "wrong" is really the stat here. :P

He voted people out in Worlds Apart, so that probably should read "in his last 53 days of playing".

Just caught up on this double episode, was quite good, the season is definitely improving.

Any thoughts on whether they would have done the "two tribes/ one vote out" thing if Kama had been in the bottom two? With a 5 vs 4 vote it wouldn't really seem fair or interesting, and I think they only mentioned it was a combined tribal after the challenge had finished.

Reem.... never be on my TV screen again. Poor Wendy. She brought the lols.

Oh crap. Not more of Reem and Keith. Just kill me now.

Julie does realise that this is a game, not a religious retreat?

I'd better not hear her say that she played with integrity when she gets voted off.

OMG Rigged. Pathetic. I guess the HII factory really had to make that one quickly!

Is that statue of a woman on the end Our Lady of Survivor?

Morally you SHOULD vote Devens out as he has already been voted out and doesn't deserve to be there ahead of people that haven't been voted out.

It was a strange 5 minutes during the Extinction Island challenge - I was pulling really hard for Wendy, cos she was doing an amazing job through her ticks. Then I loved her great attitude after the event, and I'm thinking "damn, I really like you!"

Then in the next scene she's quitting after only being on EI for 5 minutes, and I'm like WTF?

The cluster**** vote at the end at least makes it kind of interesting going forward, there's some cracks there for the underdogs to dry and drive through.

Very much agreed, I found myself willing her to victory during that challenge. Can only imagine the pressure she (and all of them) were feeling at the time, and was very impressive the way she stayed composed despite her symptoms manifesting themselves like that.

Not sad at all to see Keith go, just looked out of his depth from the outset. But disappointed Wendy decided she had enough, but having said that don’t know what happened behind the scenes. Perhaps the challenge took a greater toll than can be seen.

Interesting that Wardog, Kelly and Lauren all voted for David in the end. I did think that the Kama tribe would turn on Joe as soon as the opportunity presented itself. He’s every chance to come back in though, challenge beast.

Lastly, and this may be petty. Can’t pinpoint exactly why this is, but there’s something about the way Reem refers to everyone as “bro” or “dude” that I find annoying.

Right move. They had to get Joe out while they could
I think Wentworth is the smarter play.

Joe won't win 10 immunities in a row. There will be other opportunities. And he's just going to win his way back through EoE regardless of when you send him off. Better to pretend to work with him and use him as a shield for a few votes.

Meanwhile Wentworth is more likely to actively get you out of the game and strategize against you, and she's less likely to win her way back.

Probably voted Joe out so they don’t have to see him make out with his dad again on family visits
Spat my drink out lolololol

I think taking Joe out is a really stupid move. Not only is he very likely to re-enter, but he now has the opportunity to live with and build positive relationships with the jury in a non game environment. He will feed and support them and re-enter the game having never voted for Reem or Chris and being the only person really loyal to Aubry.

Dumb, dumb, dumb AF.

I didn't think about it like that but good point.

It did immediately occur to me though that Joe will just win any challenge they put up to get back in.

How is the jury going to work this year? Voted off players are basically all heading to EI. Are they the jury?

Yeah I guess so, as long as you don’t quit you’re on the jury

Will he feed them? We've never seen him fish.

This way he has to spend 2+ weeks on Edge getting weaker before the challenge to get back.
