Injury list as of Tuesday, April 16

Jacobs (Knee) – TBC
Jones (Concussion) – Test
McHenry (Concussion) - Test
McPherson (Hamstring) – 1 week
McAdam (Calf) – 2 weeks
Brown (Ankle) – 3-4 weeks
Seedsman (Knee) – 3-6 weeks
Douglas (Syndesmosis) – 6 weeks
Doedee (ACL) – Season

When has that ever been an issue for us selecting senior players? I'll point you to the last few years: Jacobs, Walker, Jenkins, Betts, Sloane, etc.

I said I heard Jacobs injury long term a few weeks ago

Have heard more of the same this week

We’re stuck with either ROB or Jenkins in ruck probably for at least another 5

Good, Sauce is cooked. At least ROB has a dip around the stoppage and tackles hard.

Could be career ending ... would be sad [emoji20] but we need to get games into ROB IMO
Reading what Saunders said and the TBC timeline, I would not bet on Jacons playing another game for the club.

Would not surprise me if we hear in a month or so he is retiring.

I think it’s a good thing. Gets us a really good look at ROB who can’t be expected to set the world alight immediately.

can you give me a rough idea what the article says?

Some quotes:

"Star Adelaide ruckman Sam Jacobs could be sidelined for two months."

"An operation to repair damaged meniscus would keep him out of action for between four and eight weeks.
Jacobs’ other option is to simply rest the injury — which has already ruled him out for a third consecutive game, Sunday’s must-win home clash against Gold Coast — and hope it heals.

But that would make him a week-by-week proposition for the rest of the season.

Jacobs is expected to make a decision on the best course of treatment by Thursday."

Send him in for surgery, let him take the full 8 weeks off which in addition to this week would see him back after the bye. And then because he's missed so much footy, gotta keep consistent with Greenwood and give him at least 4 weeks in the SANFL, so we're talking a round 19 return, ah but at this point there's only 5 rounds of football left and ROB will have built some great continuity so sorry Jacobs no return for you

Hehe someone just posted here under their obvious alias and deleted it.

It's odd that Kornes had a go at us saying how we're now deceiving fans by using medial jargon to confuse people. Seen more than a few people say this is another case of us lying to fans, not sure why so many people think it's a black/white thing when it comes to medical issues.

This was the trend in perception since last year, not a new thing. People who have never been injured or suffered serious conditions just don't seem to get that prognosis is an arbitary average. It cannot predict accurately what happens to any individual. More so in elite sportsmen.

With Kornes, he's more likely just stirring the pot for the giggles and clickbait.

Spoken like a Workcover paper shuffler

With the recent Jacobs news, our luck with injuries (of the lack thereof) is still an ongoing saga from last year.
First 2 rounds and we've lost Brown, Doedee, Douglas, Seeds and Jacobs! And a lot of these are a month or longer-type injuries!

Good news: no current hammy troubles.

Bad news: we've forgotten to condition the rest of the players' bodies!!
