I've got Collingwood as flag favourites at the moment. Their composure under pressure is perfect September footy. They can play clean or dirty, they have a forward line filled with talent, A+ ruckmen and a solid back line. They'll take some beating at the G this year.

McDonald played forward last year, he kicked over 50 goals.

McDonald and Weideman is a decent enough key forward duo. Out of form currently but key forwards are at the mercy of the rest of the team and the rest of the team have been awful. Even with the games with lots of inside 50s the delivery has been terrible.

If they added Rohan, Dahlhaus, Miers and Atkins to those two keys they would be fine. That's what they are missing more than anything.

Melbourne have done the old "made a prelim and think they don't need to improve" lazy pre-season by the looks.
They'll likely be my tip for a big riser next year with an easier draw and fixing those issues.
Laughable that MFC let that happen though.
