I think that was some clever editing and misdirection to make this vote seem closer than it actually was.

Surely Wardog was always being voted out, after what he conjured last tribal. He perhaps played his hand too early and fell on his own sword.

And those zoomed in close ups on extinction island continue, don’t really need Reem taking up the whole screen whilst saying dude

With the amount of screen time she’s been given so far, I wonder, perhaps she’s the one to win her way back into the game? I wonder.

Apparently Boston Rob and SDT have been tapped as “advisers” rather than players for the next season.
Unsure how this will play into the game, or if it will have an effect of the S40 theme.

ok, so Extinction Island is a new twist to the show but what's the point if everyone stays in the show?

No one has and no one will voluntarily leave the game immediately after being evicted.

After being voted out, you should have to pass some mental or physical challenge to stay in.

Hands down the worst season for quite sometime.

Not invested in the show or the people even slightly, scrolling through my twitter feed on my phone throughout most of the show is a sure sign this season sucks.

Don't really care who wins, maybe the dude with the glasses.

Yes I’m probably over thinking it. Was just going by the screen time she’s been given so far.

Compared to say someone like Julia who in the early episodes was barely sighted (along with a few others at Kama). And now she’s the main one at extinction being given airtime when there are many others there who hardly got a glimpse last night. Anyway, hoping I’m wrong.

Not invested in the show or the people even slightly, scrolling through my twitter feed on my phone throughout most of the show is a sure sign this season sucks.

Wasn't sure if it was just us or not. First season ever my wife has totally given up on and told me to just watch by myself. I'm still watching it out of sheer stubbornness but find myself distracted by my phone or watching on the iPad while playing video games. The show itself almost seems to be phoning it in. Gone are the amazing experience reward challenges and stuff like that, and they spend so much less time on the actual Survivor aspect. When they talk about rationing rice it's like "Oh yeah that's right, that's an element of this game."

It's just very by the numbers these days. Drama, challenge, drama, challenge, misleading drama, Tribal.

1) Seeing/hearing as little of Reem as possible
2) None of the returning players winning - especially now that they've all been voted out
3) Seeing as much of Lauren as possible

Yeah I think they overestimated people being worn out and over the game. Was pretty obvious that everyone was going to stay.

I far preferred the Redemption Island theme where they continually had those Gladiator battles to stay on Redemption Island.

Reem has to be one of the most obnoxious Survivors ever. Does she have any redeeming qualities? This season's format almost reminds me of every kid getting a ribbon in a running race. Surely all of the losers won't be on the Final jury. How would someone like Reem know anything about the gameplay of the finalists except what she obcerves at TC or hears from the other losers.

I agree with drd23 about Lauren. My third wife never looked that good, even on the honeymoon.

It was definitely implemented to have a safety net for the returnees and it gave them a theme. I think they glossed over it a bit and could have made it a bit more unique, as it's basically just a dumbed down Redemption Island where we get just the two challenges at the re-entry points.

Edge if extinction getting a bit long in the tooth. Its probably the one criticism of Redemption Island that they didn't try to fix.

I like Reem. I would much rather see Reem chew someone out rather than the 'Woe is me I got voted out scene we have to get with every contestant. She's an awful survivor player, but makes great tv.

This season is really getting edited in a fresh way, which makes me think it's either Rick or the other EoE returnee that wins.

I'm still hoping for a Victoria win but she's been really quiet the last few votes.

Don’t believe so, and it didn’t think it was necessary anyway. The vote itself appeared much more straightforward than the editing suggested.

That episode showed why it was too early for Wardog to make that move on Kelley.

I am not loving this season but I'd watch any US Survivor season that they aired, it's got plenty of credits in the bank. Just hope a returnee doesn't win, especially since I find Rick far too arrogant for someone who has been voted out and on the wrong side of the votes a few times since coming back as well.

Yes, a smart move by her. I think she needs to get in with Devens because they're the two biggest physical threats in the game IMO.

If I have it right we have:

Rick (somewhat) with Ron
Gavin, Victoria and Lauren together
Julie and Ron together
Aurora with ???

Basically Rick and Aurora seem like they're on the bottom, both are immunity threats, Julie and Ron could go with Rick, but that means Julie would have to make up with Aurora, but I can't remember why she doesn't like her?

He's won it twice.

Victoria and Ron haven't won immunity nor been voted for. Only 3 of the 7 have had votes on them.

Honestly, his arrogance isn't misplaced. He's the biggest threat there, apart from Reem he'd have the Jury on his side, he looks like the biggest challenge threat (two wins and placed in another 2 or 3 I think?), but his alliances are all over the shop right now. Not sure where he scrambles to.

Fair enough. There’s been very little shown of time around camp so perhaps that’s the main reason.

She does pose a threat at challenges now too.

Just on the preview for next week, can see it’s the family visit. Don’t know exactly why, but not really a huge fan of those episodes.
