It was blatantly obvious that resigning kelly was another massive **** up at the time by list management. Further reinforced on the weekend with 15 touches.

Just flipping pathetic by a senior midfielder that desperately needs this khent to lift.

Perfectly happy if he plays in thr WAFL the remaining 40 or so games untill hes regularly putting in numbers and effort that warrants a recall.

This is exactly what Kelly was likely hoping for when he re-signed. He would happily waste away in the WAFL. He wouldn't have been in the seniors had Hewett been fit.

I'd prefer them taking the game on, rather than having Kelly jog after his opponent sprinting towards goal. Kelly should be running laps all weeks.

No doubt last night was putrid but to act like there hasn’t been a ton of positives this year is BS.

Our youth is a big tick.
The seniors are def the issues and it shows what a hole someone like graham (as well as yeo obviously) leaves. I think the end of round 1 compo for mature talent trades could be a real possibility.

Expectations are the cause of the negativity after last night. Most saw it as the last genuine chance for a win for the season then to get spit-roasted was utterly demoralising.

Also I thought Cripps was one of our better players Saturday. Covered the ground quite well and didn't lose to many contests. Other than a couple of shit kicks to Ryan (which everyone else did) he was quite decent.

Cripps wasn’t the worst but I wonder if the opposition don’t see him as the best player to exploit with a pacy rebounding half back.

That said, our defensive efforts are too often poor. Being off on your own is great in attack but Richmond showed how average we were when they had the ball.

You are right, of course there are positives, but it is wholly situational this week. Agree with the rest of your post and Graham seems to be a huge loss!

We finally play some good footy a few weeks ago against Collingwood. Slapped around by GWS the week after. 'It's a young side, these things will happen, you'll get those games.' True.

Let one slip last week. Bugger. 'It's a young side, these things will happen, you'll get those games.' Yep... fair enough... but there's no excuse next week.

We come into this week against an undermanned, 17th placed Richmond expecting to win, not just be competitive. We didn't just lose. They came into our house, put belt to ass and rubbed it in. We were absolutely humiliated. From a potentially rising young team back to a laughing stock in the space of 3 hours.

The same dead wood let us down, the same issues in selection, missed tackles, poor skills and lack of effort. Our game plan which we finally started to see was dismantled before our eyes and we're a negative chance of winning another game before the end of the season.

No denying there have been some gains. After the shit we've been dished up over the last five years, to get totally humiliated in a spot where most of us had the expectation of a win and to finally see the fruits of our development is simply demoralising.

I'm passionate. I love my footy. Yes I'm still sour. I'll get over it. Is it NFL season yet?

Resigning Kelly is what we should have done.
Unfortunately, we re-signed him!
Maybe the club has the same problem distinguishing between the two words which would could explain why we have to put up with this non-performer for another 2 years.

Itrs absolute lack of confidence and youth thats killing us. Coach knows and seems smart enough to work through it.

Herein lies a negative & a positive.

We have, generally speaking, been blown out of the water in one quarter in many games this year while remains competitive for the remainder of the game. This week it was our third quarter.

Minimise the damage, prevent run ons and it’s another step forward for us.

The problem, this week, is we did it against the 17th placed team. A game many thought we could win.

We have 1 win and lost by 50 points to the 2nd bottom team at home. That blame or issue doesnt belong to 6 people. It belongs to well the club itself.

It was a down day for almost everyone and not 6 people. Scapegoating a handful is just lazy
