• Trying to lower the price of oil by taking over Venezuela (lowering the price of oil by $10 a barrel lowers inflation by around 0.2%). Jury is still out whether this will work.

This is what will happen.

Trump will install a puppett regime, they will sell 90% of the oil to the USA and the remainder will be sold at extraodinary high prices to the Venezualan people sky rocketing the cost of living. They will not hold a criminal trial in the USA for Maduro, they will merely hold him as they dont have evidence to convict in a court trial. This is just semantics. They will likely extradict him back to Venezuala for a dog and pony show trial.

The next leader will 100% not be democratically elected, they will likely be just as bad as Maduro as Trump will hold no carefactor for how the people are treated but the new leader will be a Trump stooge. Pretty much in the mold of Orban being a Russian Stooge.

Venezuala will basically become a defacto USA proxy state that the USA can drain resources from. Trump will then use the cheaper oil for the midterms and say he has successfully lowered the cost of living.

The Republican Party basically caved into this guy, and supported his rise to a second presidency.
They take the majority of the blame for what is happening now in America.
The Democrats are to blame too because they hid Joe Biden away, hoping no one would notice his mental decline. It failed.
So it's three more years of chaos and madness, storming the Capital and invading other countries.
