Interesting point that you raise and will it make a precedent that a player can be reported although the umpire did not witness what is alleged to have occurred? Will this mean that a player can tell an umpire that they were struck by their opponent and although the umpire did not witness what occurred, reports the alleged offender and sends them to the tribunal? What a tin of worms this could open.
Well I’d imagine the umpire was simply made aware of the racism claim and they may have mentioned it to the league. I think any claim of racism
Or homophobia would result in a head up to the league.

The Umpire in football can add “player complained off a strike at 2 mins into the 3rd please check the tape” on their match report.

It's a horrible situation for both clubs IMO. Lots of differing accusations and now it's got political (so to speak). I have no idea of the facts - or the process at NFNL level - but I do feel for all involved.

i have have seen first hand what they do at tribunal hearings.

FIrst they put their hand in a jar with their eyes closed and pick out either guilty or not guilty written on paper ripped from old issues from zoo weekly

If guilty they get a magic 8 ball with weeks ranging from 1-6 and shake 3x times to give their final verdict.

Thats it.

I would imagine most investigations into racial abuse/homophobia at most levels of football stem from players notifying officials. The officials are the obliged to report these incidents to be investigated, interviewing players from both sides and officials. This is not a new can of worms being opened, this is how it has been for such incidents.

I’d imagine that the footage has been viewed many times now and the accusations made towards a 15-16yo surrounding the actions they were suppose to have made perhaps have now be been found to be untrue???

I can’t imagine stadium cctv is all that clear.

I’d imagine..

Stars said this happened..
Kilmore denied it..
Umpires asked did they see anything and they didn’t..

No impartial witness was found and the allegations went unproven.

And I hope both club presidents have been in constant communication working through the matter 🙏🤞

It’s pretty clear from what I’ve heard.

The supposed action in question still yet to be found on the CCTV

I see the NFS has posted their predictions. I think JK’s prediction is probably close to what I’d imagine happens.

Is Greenwood playing at the Mustangs? I’m yet to see signing post but also hasn’t popped up anywhere else. Points will probably still be an issue for Mustangs dropping 4 from previous season and bringing in a number of recruits. They should push for finals regardless I’d imagine.

It will be one of the great turn arounds for Ressa if they make finals.

Not saying they can't or it isn't all built on money and fairy dust that could disappear on them again but at least they are having a crack.

Agreed huge turn around, I mean they had to pay overs to attract anyone so it’s understandable.

Let’s see if they can make it sustainable now.

I thought we would see Lalor do something similar but just hasn’t happened.
